Groundhog Day 2010

Groundhog Day is celebrated today, it was found out that the winter chill will continue for a few more weeks.

A report says, “The groundhog has spoken. And no one is too happy about the news. Groundhog Punxsutawney Phil has emerged to see his shadow meaning winter will last another six weeks…Groundhog Day is a holiday celebrated on February 2. It is held in the United States and Canada. The tradition has it that if a groundhog emerging from hibernation in its burrow fails to see its shadow, it will leave the burrow, signifying that winter will soon end. If on the other hand, the groundhog sees its shadow, the groundhog will supposedly retreat into its burrow, and winter will continue for six more weeks.
