Uncomfortable Topics
Greetings - Tuesday - January 5th., 2010
I am available today until 2pm., pacific & then
again this evening between 7pm & 10pm., pacific.
Do you need to discuss 'what is' considered to be an
Uncomfortable topic of conversation with someone?
Perhaps it's your boy/girlfriend, lover, spouse, friend, child,
colleague, boss, etc., maybe even the topic that you desire to
discuss is even difficult for you to be honest with yourself about.
Sometimes having that 'conversation with yourself or with God'
about something that you are super sensitive about is, well, quite difficult.
Fear! Fearing the consequences, is why we choose to avoid discussing
certain uncomfy topics. We fear possibly being rejected or ridiculed or
not 'heard' ---dismissed, or being ignored, seen in a different light
or just told that 'feeling' this way or that is just being ridiculous.
We fear being considered less, or disrespected in some specific way by
someone whom we 'love' or deeply care about. Whatever 'the fear is'
-----generally speaking it's a fear that causes us to feel diminished
in some specific way that is just too too difficult for us to take! So
we actively choose to avoid the topic altogether. AVOID DOING THAT, because you are simply delaying the inevitable.
Whatever the uncomfortable topic of conversation is, it's important to
open up and talk about it, and sooner than later. Not doing so, will
also have an adverse affect on your relationship. Either way, you're
going to experience a degree of pain associated with talking about it
or waiting to talk about it. So you may as well, just 'do it' sooner
than later. Fortunately, the planetary forces that 'be' allow you to
regroup, developing a plan of action, conducive to putting it
altogether in some chronological order & in some communication
structure that will better allow you to intellectually &
emotionally communicate about it all, effectively, allowing a favorable
result.
Waiting to do so while it is so heavily pressing on your mind, will
cause unnecessary stress & strife that will filter other areas of
your life, stealing your joy, creating undue stress & strife in
your life.
Open up and talk about what you need to talk about 'now'... it could
save your life, as well as your relationship, and definitely increase
your ability to face your fears & deal with them 'anyway'. Call me
& let's talk about the topic of conversation you're needing to have
with your special someone. Depending how you go about doing it, will
certainly add more joy (or not) to your life. I can help you get thru
it, easier by choosing a particular non-threatening communication style
that the other person whom you are communicating will respond to,
favorably. It's not about 'what you say'...so much as 'HOW YOU SAY IT'.
"It's nice to be important...
...but it's more important to be 'nice'." :)
Enjoy your day and evening.
Blessings & love,
