Learning to Live with Uncertainty
Learning to live with Uncertainty. What a statement. Where do I begin with this blog? It's so many points that can be made with this statement. If I had to sum them all up, I would say, learn to trust that you won't always know what's coming down the road, however, you can learn to make the most out of that uncertainty. It's nothing wrong with being prepared, such as saving money, etc, but don't get consumed with over planning. And if the future happens to be different than what you expected, then learn to live with it and maintain your happiness.
It's very easy to get caught up in feelings of anger and feeling like life is not treating you fairly. Trust me, I am human too and sometimes I do have those feelings myself. But, what I've learned is, you have to work at overcoming those feelings and preventing them from lingering for too long. It takes more than positive thinking and positive manifestation, it takes accepting the fact that the future is uncertain and learning how to embrace that uncertainty instead of letting it scare you.
See, what I've learned is that one of the driving factors of people wanting to know what's coming down the road so much is a need for security. People feel that if they know what's coming, then that will make them better prepared and feel more secure. But what happens when life takes an unexpected turn? This is when you have to work the hardest at not letting the unexpected take over you in a negative way.
And remember, no matter how good your intuition is or how good your advisor is, there is a higher power that exist. Some things will not be seen through intuition, it can only come from experience with life. I've seen it many times to where someone that I gave a reading to in the past came to me at a later time and said that they now understand what I told them in the past, but at the time, it was hard to fully grasp. This has even happened to me in my own personal life. To where my intuition gives me certain information, but the light bulb doesn't really go off until a later time.
It's nothing wrong with trusting your intuition as far as what direction your future is heading, but don't force the answer to come to you. There are things that are in our control. Like using drugs, becoming an alcoholic, going out committing a crime, saving for your future, etc etc. I bring this up for the purpose of making sure you have full clarity with this blog. If someting is in your control, then that's ok, do your best. But the main focus of this blog is address issues in your life that is uncertain or beyond your control and how to handle that uncertainty.
The future can be changed in just one second. Your life can changed from just one moment or incident, rather it's hitting the lottery, being terminated from your job, being in an accident, etc. But the key is, learning to live with that unexpected change. Learning to live with the uncertainty. Maybe the job loss was for a reason so that you can find something you enjoy doing, rather its a different job or maybe even starting a business of your own. Maybe the accident will inspire you to help a multitude of people fight for a cause.
Think about where you were five or ten years ago. If you could go back in time, would you have imagined where you are now? Did things go as planned or is it different from your plan? Was some of it better or less than expected? What part of your life was uncertain and would you have handled it differently in the past? Think about these things.
And for a final thought, remember there are some things that you do have control over in your life. But for the things that you don't have control over, learn to live with it in a healthy way. Life has a lot of uncertainties, but uncertainty doesn't have to be your enemy and give you fear. It can be embraced by your faith that life will unfold own its own. So either you can live with worrying and extra stress, or you can live in a healthy way and trust that you are secure even when life feels uncertain.
