What's going to happen this year? I NEED TO KNOW RIGHT NOW!! ANSWER ME!!!
Warning, this blog may be uncomfortable for some people to read. This blog may or may not apply to you. If it does, use it as a tool to help. If it doesn't, then maybe pass along to someone who it can help.
What's going to happen this year? How is this year going to go for me? I NEED TO KNOW!!!! This is a very common question around this time of year. Why set yourself up to approach the year that way? To a degree, this can be a dangerous approach. Because on one end, you have people who think that a new year means everything will go better, they set unrealistic expectations and goals. What if things don't go as expected?. On the other end, what if the year is destined to be a bigger challenge, or your situation not improved? This can be very discouraging, especially if a reading shows that.
It's nothing wrong with setting goals or wanting your new year to go in a positive new way. However, approach your year with MORE CONTROL. Instead of asking, how is my year going to go, TELL YOURSELF, my year is going to like ........(you fill in the blanks). This empowers you to approach the year with more control, more power. And in the meantime, set realistic goals. Start small and then set bigger goals once you're comfortable. How about daily or weekly goals? Something that is realistic and obtainable.
So before you ask, What's going to happen this year or how is this year going to go for me, ask yourself, why do I need to know this? How about asking, how can you improve yourself or your situation this year and actually BE CONSISTENT WITH IT. In other words, empower yourself. Get the RIGHT INFORMATION. If you're going to take a look at yourself or get a reading, ask how you can improve yourself. Ask what are some things that you can do in reality to improve yourself. It's more than just positive thinking, what action can you take and be consistent with. Because wanting to know how a year is going to go is not enough to empower yourself. But if you find a way and an approach to be pro-active in your improvement, then you will definetly make some consistent progress in your year.
Now remember, making progress doesn't mean that you always reach your goal in the time frame that you want. That's ok. As long as you are going in the right direction, that is what counts. The key is to keep moving forward toward your goals and destination. To be consistent with your progress. And then you won't need to know how your year is going to go because you will have empowered yourself to drive the direction of how your year goes.
