Back-to-School is WHEN??
Well so much for my afternoon of swimming at the local rec center! Silly me...slipped my mind that this is summer and ALL the kids are out of school! As I love children I didn't mind it at first, manage to do a bit of lap racing. But with all the weight lifting, running, and computer time I have been putting in lately I really had my eyes on the hot tub!!! However, it was filled with about 10 teenage boys--who were 'jumping' in the hottub, as well as tossing each other. I glanced around at the life guards on duty...but they appearred to be about 15-16 years old and definitely not equipped to handle rowdy teens in a hottub!!! Finally the boys pile out of the hottub and decide to reek havoc in the pool area.
Just as I make it to the hot tub...maybe 5 minutes into it, the lights in the pool area go out!!! No biggie...the area is equipped with skylights so it is well lit in there. However, there is a policy of 'no lights, no pool', so everyone had to get out of the pool. And apparently hot tub is included as some little 8-9 year old kid informed me!!! LOL
Anyways, I took this as a sign that I wasn't to go swimming afterall--so I finished up and got the heck outta there before all those "lovely children" took over the locker room!
Having only one college aged child left here at home, it's been quite some time since I have worried about 'back-to-school'....but seriously....when do they go back to school??? LOL
