Embrace your artistic side

No more hurt, pain, neglect, abuse here—
No more denial, hiding you from view, or being ignored.
No more anxiety, worries, or mistreatments.
No more sophistication, mature, serious, task-oriented demeanor--
Embrace the fun loving, happy, frivolous, joyful and humorous child within.
Be silent no more little girl within;
You have not been lost or forgotten
I know you still reside within
Please teach me how to have fun and play,
I can lighten up, let go of seriousness, overcome my fears,
accept flexibility, and adapt to change in my life.
Through you I can heal—
