Mercury goes direct today!
CAUTION: We are NOT out of the retrograde influence yet! The beginnings and end dates of a Mercury retrograde causes even more static in the air. I am sorry to say, the days prior and after are a dreadful period! My best advice is to not buy anything expensive, make any big commitments, or travel until after you pass the new moon, July 14.
Case in point, even though Mercury is my ruling planet and being fully aware of the problems Mercury Retrograde causes for me, I proceeded to travel the week prior to the start date. BIG MISTAKE...without going into any gory details, anything that could possibly go wrong went haywire! From start to finish, there was nothing but problems. That is one trip that made it to the top of my "trips from hell" list! But alas, using only my wit, humor, and lots of laughter...I survived, no worse for the wear.
However, today my daughter is returning from a two week trip in Hawaii. No problems leaving Hawaii last night...but when she arrived in Las Vegas, all hell broke loose! I have been on the phone with her, the airlines, and Yahoo Travel trying to get everything straighten out. Apparently all her connecting flights times, numbers, AND airlines had changed...she was never notified. The airlines in Las Vegas said they couldn't look up her E-ticket number and Yahoo Travel's computers were down!
Now here is my 19 yr old daughter, traveling alone for the first time, just said goodbye to her boyfriend in Hawaii (who is going on yet another deployment to Iraq soon), she is still dealing with the sudden death of her father a month ago....and now it appears no one at the airport can help her. (They sent her to & from terminals THREE times via a train!) AND, to top that off, 'mama' is miles away and for once in her young life, I can't fix any of it!
So, doing what any good mother would do...I continue to soothe her & calm her down via phone, while talking with Yahoo Travel personnel on the other phone...finally we get all the CORRECTED flight information--she has boarding passes for all her connecting flights. I just finished speaking with her--gave her strict instructions to go wash her face with a cool cloth, go get a bite of breakfast, and call me back in a hour before she departs Las Vegas.
Send up a prayer that she has no further problems or delays and arrives safely home...and that by 7:00 p.m. CST she is in my arms!
MORALE OF THE STORY....Do not travel during a Mercury Retrograde--especially in the days prior to or immediately after! LOL
I will continue to be available for calls until 2 p.m. today and possibly late tonight depending on how things go with my daughters return.
