Not Everyone's Cup of Tea
“Not for just anyone” “Uniquely Myself” or “Not Everyone’s Cup of Tea”—you choose the phase, I am certain I have said one or all of the above phase to describe myself at one time or another—especially in the wonderful world of dating! Because this is true—although I am a wonderful loving caring compassionate soul—I am NOT everyone’s cup of tea!
I am learning that this certainly holds true in my professional life as well. I have been a ‘paid professional advisor’ here on Keen for almost seven years, have my own personal practice, have a wall filled with degrees, and years of experience being a women, mother, lover, friend, confidant, etc etc etc. I have endured my fair share of tragedies; does anyone know a Lightworker, who hasn’t?
I have experienced great joy and devastating sorrow in my life. I have suffered the pain of finding the greatest love and have it crushed between metal and glass on a dark lonely highway a few short months before the wedding. I have visited the darkness of depression, despair, and financial ruin. I have been cheated on, lied to, disrespected, rejected, abused and abandoned, and even smacked around a few times back in my younger days. I think I have experienced every emotion with varying degrees of intensity my entire life. And..the glory of it all is that I SURVIVED! And I am stronger, more capable of loving, caring, compassion, and have empathy for my fellow man. I am not bitter or negative; nor do I suffer from sadness or sorrow. If you doubt this, read a few of my blog entries—I truly practice what I teach! I am happy with whom I am, where I am, where I am going, and I truly live a blessed life! Furthermore, I believe that my life experiences, education, and spiritual gifts enhance my effectiveness as a Life Coach.
My point to all this?
At times a client becomes upset with me because my reading is not consistent with what other readers—at times my readings are complete opposite of EVERY reader out there. Naturally, I can only tell a client what I see—not what others see. Since I don't always see the same final outcome as the other readers, some clients feel I am only see ‘negatives’ or that my reading is tainted in some manner. This is not the case—I may not always been completely accurate--but I am completely honest with what is revealed to me. It goes against my code of ethics to tell a client things that I do not see; even if every other reader here on Keen disagrees with me.
Keep in mind, I am a Life Coach—although I use my spiritual gifts during a reading I am not a fortune teller. It is my intent to provide clients with understanding, insight, guidance, and personal empowerment so that they can make an INFORMED decision on how to proceed in their life or deal with their situation.
If a client chooses to call me this is what they can expect:
1.) A honest look into the situation, as it is revealed to me; I am but the messenger, however, I deliver ALL messages with honesty, integrity, compassion, and loving energy.
2.) Any challenges, obstacles, and options that are shown to me—I truly believe very few things are carved in stone.
3.) As a general rule, I try to stay focused on the current, immediate future, and only 6 months out; free will, situations, interactions, and your or another’s action can effect the process. Also, each morning before signing in & before accepting each call I ask for divine intervention to be able to help my clients is the most effective manner as I am divinely guided.
4.) As timing is so evasion and changes due to numerous variables, I encourage clients to focus on sequence of events instead of actual ‘timing’.
5.) I will encourage each client to focus more on the current journey rather than the final destination—sometimes we get so caught up on “Are we there yet?” that we miss all the wonderful things along the way!
6.) My main focus is on the client—therefore I will strongly urge my client to do what is in their best interest and emotional well-being at this time. In other words, if you are in a ‘holding pattern’ with your love interest, I will encourage you to get busy living and when/if he/she returns decide if going back to the relationship is in YOUR best interest.
7.) I will NOT make any decision for a client. However, I will help guide a client to finding the best solution or course of action at this time. Keep in mind, sometimes the best course of action is ‘to do nothing’…
8.) For the most part my sessions are uplifting and positive—even if the outcome isn’t what a client wants to hear. I use humor, wit, compassion, and a dash of southern charm when reading a situation.
9.) I have a true understanding and compassion for all people which makes me an empathic counselor. When a client hurts, my heart hurts with them—my greatest “gift” in my opinion is that I truly care about the well being and emotional state of my clients. That is why I will always be 100% honest with what is revealed to me—I may not be accurate all the time, but rest assured I will be HONEST ALL the time!
And there you have it folks! I am who I am—a woman, a mother, a friend, lover, personal confidant…….AND a professional Life Coach who uses my spiritual gifts, personal experiences, formal training, and humor to help others find solutions to their problems.
Although I am not for everyone…if you are looking for a honest look into your situation, practical down to earth no nonsense approach to solutions, uplifting and enlightening advisor--then maybe I just might be your cup of tea! You may not hear exactly what you want to hear, but you will get honest information, possible solutions, and the ability to see the humor and the positive side of the situation.
