Only 8 Shopping Days Left...
Oh my, we are down to the single digits! How did this happen? Where did the time go? I was sure I had a few weeks left to do everything. Goodness, I haven't even started my holiday baking yet...oh me, oh my!
Feeling the stress of the holidays? Wishing you could just crawl back in the bed and sleep until New Years? Shedding tears over your dwindling bank account?
Calm yourself, sit quietly, take a deep breath, and relax your mind; then your body. In the hustle & bustle of the season, don't forget to take some time for yourself. It seems that many of us are having a tough time getting into the spirit of the season for a variety of reasons. With this being the last week before Christmas, take some time to focus on allowing yourself to feel the spirit of the holiday.
Do not let your financial worries or woes deter you--there are many holiday activities available that cost little to no money:
-Take a long drive in the evening to view the holiday lights...
-Attend a local holiday play or musical (most are free or donations only this time of year)...
-Visit the local mall and watch the children become excited at their turn on Santa's lap...
-Take some baked goods and share a cup of hot chocolate with a neighbor or friend...especially the elderly who would welcome a nice visit
-Stop by a local hospital and count your blessings of health & wellness; if you are ill, but still breathing, know that there is someone out there worse off.
So many things you can do to embrace the spirit of the holidays...these are but a few suggestions. I invite others to share suggestions for inexpensive ways to get into the holiday spirit...
I will be available for calls here on Keen this morning til 1 pm CST and 6-11 pm CST with breaks here & there! I look forward to sharing some holiday spirit with everyone!
