Quirks! We all have them! Our own little ways of doing things that may appear odd, strange, or just plain weird to others. The topic of personal quirks came up in a conversation the other day and planted a seed in my head. Of course, as happens with seeds, it grew into a full-fledge thought!
So thought it would be rather interesting to share what others might see as quirks or oddities:
1. When preparing to go to sleep, I arrange my pillows in a certain order; surrounding me completely—even if I am only taking a short nap.
2. I almost always write with a pen, not a pencil—even if it means searching the entire house for a useable pen.
3. I must have an ice cube in my coffee; but do not like iced coffee.
4. I bounce my leg when I am nervous, bored, impatient, or have been in one place for too long. I can not sit still for any length of time; I have to be in constant motion.
5. I tend to "bop" to music with no regards to my surroundings; home, car, store, etc etc.
6. Cupboards, drawers, etc must always be closed; wall hangings must be straight.
7. I talk to myself when I am being creative.
8. My musical tastes run the gamut of hip-hop to country, classical to classic rock, 80’s hard rock to sultry cool blues; folk music to nature sounds.
Lastly, (but I am sure there are many more…just ask my kids or others that know me!)
9. I sleep with my feet uncovered; for some strange reason I can not breathe if my feet are covered!
Ok…I shared mine, your turn!
