Is Love Really Out There?????

After being divorced for 4 1/2 years now. I really have to ask myself and others, "Is love really out there?" Or is it just an illusion that we have created to get us through the long lonely days? I guess it depends on the day.
We say life is what you make of it but, is Love what you make of it? Can one be happy on their own and alone for say 20 to 40 years? I suppose the answer to that is yes but, it sounds like such a lonely life. To never have someone to come home to, to never hear those words we all want to hear (I LOVE YOU), to never have someone to just share a moment in private with, and oh yeah of course sex! But, you can get sex just about anywhere as long as you don't give a damn and never want to see them again.
Just thoughts for the new year is all.

I can totally understand this thinking, as I think everyone has been there at some point. For me, the hardest thing was learning I am never alone, and I am good company for myself. When I felt my lowest as far as being lonely and unloved, usually it was because I never loved myself or accepted myself. It was never about having that other person, although at that time thats ALL it was about in my mind's eye. Learning to accept yourself adn enjoy being in your own company is a hard to learn. If you cannot do so, how can you accept any other person and love them?

It IS real. But I think it as real as the Valveteen Rabbit story. It's not born but has to be 'worn' to be REAL. You have to 'BELIEVE.'

Yep, it's out there.... but like I always say to those that ask me, UPS and FEDEx stopped delivering men (or women) years ago, so YOU gotta get "out there", too. I don't mean the bar scene, but doing things that YOU enjoy. Don't know what you enjoy? Make a list, and check it twice. I didn't think that true love would ever come my way again and then *wham* there it was. And, yes, it's very MUCH real.... Hang in there. Our alone time is an "evaluation" time gifted to us by the Universe. :-)
