Angels - The Messengers of Our Lives
I wanted to write an article on angels. What do I write? How much did I 'know'-so I did SOME research; and decided to share my OWN personal experiences also with you! I do know Angels exist. I truly believe that. I think they can appear to us in many ways, shapes and forms. Some see them, some hear them as a gentle whisper or a tap on their shoulder. Sometimes in dreams, sometimes in a vision. I know I got curious moreso after my own Fathers' death. There are

Blog entry today is about LIFE, DEATH and my FIRST "ANGEL" experience.My Dad suffered greatly from heart issues over a period of years before passing. I will never forget one day as I sat with him at my Moms' house on a Sunday. He had been very ill just recoupering from a bout of pneumonia-now in a bed at home. As I sat at the kitchen table eating-I watched him. He looked at me-then seemed to be looking up almost 'at something'. I didn't understand but I watched him closely. He looked straight at me-then he would tilt his head and look upwards-as if he were seeing something I could not. I knew inside what was happening. Sometimes as a Reader, we just 'know' things that we really don't wish to 'know'-but that is part of 'being a Reader.' I even knew the 'day' he would pass on.
I KNEW Dad was dying or about to-and I KNEW he was looking into the face of some supernatural being I couldn't see. Later that week I tried to 'warn' my Mother he was about to pass-and of course she didn't want to hear muchless know about it regardless. He passed that week on a Friday-peacefully. I was by his side-and watched his passing. I literally 'felt' his Spirit leave and knew he had finally crossed over and was at peace. I would miss him-but knew that he'd reached his final destination.
Later on at the mortuary after many peoples' condolences I wondered what he'd 'saw' the day I sat with him and also at his passing. I quietly stepped away from the dwindling crowd of family members and friends stood still exchanging condolences. I listened to peoples whispers and suddenly I heard a sound-but it was coming from the room where he was? I slowly moved closer to the room-listening thinking I was hearing things-but NO-I heard it again! I could not figure out what I was hearing! I walked quicker towards the room where he was and peered into the room. There in the corner of that room was his casket-but I caught my breath as I gazed above it. The head of the casket was in a corner of this dimly lit room.
Above the head of my Fathers casket stood the tallest and most beautiful creature I've ever seen. It was looking down at him and then looked straight at me. I think I stopped breathing for a moment. Its wingspan was so large but what amazed me was the love in its 'eyes'. This beautiful creature smiled at me-and nodded and even though no WORDS were spoken-I felt a message "he is going home now. Go and be at peace." A tear ran down my face-and I watched as this amazing creature simple seemed to vaporize and was gone. I walked away that night and I KNEW Angels are REAL! They had came to comfort my Father when he suffered, they had whispered in his ear and that night they gently took him home. I have since then had other 'encounters' but this FIRST was one so vivid and clear-and I knew that an Angel is not only Messenger to us about love-but also supernatural beings who can take a living soul and embrace it towards some unseen realm far away gently carrying it home in its wings.
I believe Angels are all around us-every day. We all forget this when we face worrying over bills, gas and everyday problems. I think Angels are always THERE to help us but sometimes we're so caught up in problems we FORGET to ask them for help. Angel writings and stories are everywhere as is the subject of Angels. Documented stories of creatures seen and some unseen have carried people through heartache, sickness, sometimes bringing healing yes-but sometimes just to comfort the dying. Soldiers and everyday people see them--some talk about them-about how they appear in the midst of danger to protect them. Most of us grew up being told we 'have a Guardian Angel'-but do we really BELIEVE in them? Many now are speaking out about angels and what they have done. Books since the Bible have contained accounts of Angels-appearing to many-and Angels are recognized in almost every religions worldwide.
It has been said an "Angel" appeared to George Washington and showed him the FUTURE of our country! IF so-how much more can our Angel show US daily?
I think Angels can do more than touch us-they can CHANGE lives and others around us! They are Warriors and Servants-supernatural beings that are pure light and love-sent to do many things on this earth.
I do think Angels are still servants though-a connection to a
HIGHER Power-some would say GOD-or SPIRIT. Regardless-they are sent from a higher "place" or realm-but they are still sent TO us in times of need. I truly believe they are Powerful Guardians but not to be placed above the Power that created them and sent them to serve.
I think we all need to remember we do HAVE them with us every day-ready to protect, guard, and whisper to us messages that could help us steer clear from harm or avoid danger. What purposes do Angels serve? Many. Too numerous for me to type in this 'blog'-so I may start a series alone on ANGELS.
