DARE TO BE GREAT!
Do you really know that you ARE great--you are powerful more than you know! It's time to discover that fact if you have fears, doubts and insecurities of ANY KIND rearing their ugly heads in 2011!
It is my experience people tend to ALLOW other people to 'rule their world'- whether it be in a personal relationship OR in the workplace. Meaning that sometimes you feel intimidated by others, bullied, constantly under fire of criticism-or left wondering what else can go 'wrong' or "WHY ME"? Ever felt that way? IF honest-we ALL have at some point in our lives.
It could be at work-with a nagging supervisor who you can't seem to ever please, a bullying co-worker-OR at home with a mate or spouse who fault- finds with everything you do-nothing is ever right or good enough. Do you stand just silently cowering under the words-afraid to speak up or worse yet--blaming yourself and nodding in agreement-they are RIGHT?!
Feeling like a doormat no matter from who-is not fun. It leaves us feeling vulnerable, wounded and so insecure we begin to think we can't do ANYTHING RIGHT-- so OTHERS must be right in what they say! We begin to believe it.
I found a video by accident while searching for inspirational materials-which I research daily. At FIRST-this video did NOT really 'impress me'--but the title did--"Be great, be powerful beyond measure!" I watched it-and will be honest it had a LOT of 'boxing scenes' in it-my first thought..was NAHHH-NOT 'inspirational material'! How can a boxing match be inspirational material??
BUT the more I LISTENED to the WORDS in this video--some taken from the ROCKY boxing movies with the voice of Rocky Balboa (Stallone*), some words from Muhammed Ali, and others-something hit me in my 'gut'. I sat watching the 'boxing scenes'-which were VERY good (especially IF you're into boxing*)-but what KEPT my attention were the WORDS throughout the video!
POWERFUL words, things we probably have heard over and over for years. But nevertheless-words that need to be heard AGAIN AND AGAIN-that still ring true for todays' world!
The message I finally got-after listening, not once-twice but 3 times--it is up to US how 'great we can BECOME'. That we all HAVE that right-as human beings to have respect-to demand it from anyone. Too many times, when life lets us down, disappointments hit us like a rock-our hearts are broken we want to give up-really give UP. BUT that is the very time we must FIGHT BACK--we all take 'hits' in life--it is about how we are willing to fight back and stand UP after taking whatever life has thrown our way and get back up again.
Maybe you've had a recent 'battle' of your own--know you aren't alone. BUT know one thing -life is still what YOU make it--it's not up to your friends, your boss, coworkers, or mate--it's YOUR LIFE-it's what YOU do with it! When you face ANY battle - be prepared to fight back with all that is within you. Have a Fighters Spirit and you'll always have a WINNERS HEART. That is the 'REAL message' of this video--I got it!
ENJOY THE VIDEO BELOW!
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!"
