Empower Yourself From Stress and Burnout!

Many Americans deal with stress on a daily basis.  Many of us are working more hours, gulping down junk food, rushing through the day tired and feeling stressed.  CAN you change this if it's "YOU"?  YES!  There are MANY ways to cope with 'stress and burnout' in life and things you can DO to become empowered and blessed!

Warning signs of too much stress or feeling burntout are:
  • you are always tired no matter how much you sleep
  • can't seem to sleep or are sleeping too much
  • find yourself cringing at the sight of bills
  • are irritable with friends, family AND co-workers
  • can't stand the thought of going to work OR going home
  • always feeling helpless, angry or on edge
  • feel overwhelmed by every problem-and totally hopeless
  • have lost interest in things that used to excite you

If you find yourself going through any or all the things listed-know you need to 're-arrange' some priorities in your lifestyle!  Feeling overwhelmed by stress or constant burnout not only causes emotional/mental stress-but can begin to take toll on your physical well-being!

What can you DO to change things when you realize you are feeling overwhelmed by lifes' problems?

FIRST-admit to yourself you DO have a problem-and then don't be afraid to admit to someone you LOVE.  Be honest with yourself-that IS the first step to changing anything in your life!

Begin slowly-realizing you did not get this way overnight-and it will take TIME to "FEEL" a real change!
  • You have to start re-setting boundaries with yourself first.
  • Start keeping a journal of your day-and a list of things you need to get accomplished DAILY/WEEKLY!
  • Make a list of things you ENJOY-but do not take time to DO-or seemed to have lost interest in!  This could be any hobby or past-time that is simple-(*Ex: reading, writing, short trips from home, visiting friends you haven't seen in ages'!*) Make a point of doing them again-if only ONE DAY a week!
  • Start watching your diet-and what you eat!  Be determined to throw out junk foods and cut down on the caffeine/alcohol and stop smoking! Make a point of taking a healthy MEAL (soups/sandwiches), begin eating fresh fruits and veggies at home-and cut back on red meats.  Start drinking more JUICES and water-if you replace ONE MEAL with JUICE once a DAY-you'll be amazed at the difference it makes!  You'll be detoxing your body-and using FRESH FRUITS in a blender makes awesome smoothies!  Try to maintain a set schedule to sleep each night.  Relax by meditating or having an hour of peace and quiet prior to going to bed.  Release the problems of today-and let them go!
  • Talk to your local Health Food stores about what your body 'needs'.  Mulivitamins do help-BUT sometimes our bodies need OTHER minerals that having healing capabilities!  (Be SURE to check with your Physician if you are on ANY medications.*) Omega-3 is good for ANYONE! It helps the strengthen the heart, helps blood pressure and just keeps your body functioning better in many areas!  Also check out CoQ10-also for hormonal energies-that our bodies are zapped of after age 40 as well as your B vitimins Vitamin C, and Calcium!  I have had heart issues-REALLY believe in these-and they have kept me healthier and full of energy!  Injuries also can heal faster than normal!
  • Invest into a relaxation/stress CD-there are tons of them out there-and they really DO work! There are ones for 'stress' OR for energizing your mind and body-at reasonable costs!(*see link below!*) Using headphones is best-IF possible-but just having one in your car playing can reprogram your thoughts-if it is a subliminal CD!
  • There is nothing more relaxing than to take THREE HOURS a week-and get away from your home.  It doesn't have to be COSTLY to do so either! Pack a lunch and go to a quiet park or zoo-find a place where your spirit can feel RENEWED.  Anyplace in the countryside can put your mind and spirit intune-animals, lakes and open spaces with fresh air can energize your mind, soul an body.  There is nothing like Mother Natures beauty to remind us of the meaning of peace and tranquility we still have in this world!
  • Invest in a good inspirational book-or better yet-get all you can READ at your local library! There's a ton of knowledge and inspiration available IF you really want to change your life! (*See list below!*)
  • Realize you are NOT perfect-you do not have to meet up to others 'expectations' all the time.  You are responsible for only one person in life-yourself first-then family.  Make taking care of YOU a PRIORITY daily!
  • If you're limited on money-just remember-things in life CAN change-but we have to make changes in our spending habits.  Decide before buying ANYTHING-is it something you 'want' OR 'need'?  There IS a lotta "STUFF" we can really do without-and the more 'stuff' we collect-the more things we are responsible for.  Things do not equal HAPPINESS!
  • Realize that most 'bad things' do not last forever-this includes JOB LOSSES, GRIEF, ANXIETY OVER CHANGES IN OUR LIVES.  Bad things do happen-but it is up to YOU-how you decide to cope with problems.  Look at them as "CHALLENGES"-an opportunity to do something DIFFERENT.  Lifes' problems are tests we all have-that make us or break us. Decide TODAY-you CAN HANDLE WHATEVER is going on in your life and you WILL!  Happiness IS a "CHOICE"!  Start realizing that Life is a Gift to everyone DESPITE the problems it brings us.  Don't neglect it-never take it for granted-or the people you care about.  Tune into the spiritual side of yourself-and start exploring who you are spiritually.  SPIRIT always answers back and helps us-but ONLY when we ask-without pride or anger!
