HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

It takes a very special man to be a Father.  This post is in honor of all DADS
and those who love them.  Fathers are the ones we sometimes take for granted thinking they'll always be with us.  They take pride in their kids, and all their accomplishments-and stand by their children though good times and 'bad'.  They sacrifice working hard to see their kids have what they couldn't have or didn't growing up.  Their love is steady and they'll defend their kids and stand by them no matter what the cost.  Sometimes Dads are taken for granted-neglected as they grow older.  We caught up in our own lives.  If we are 'wise' we realize they deserve all our respect and love-as our time may be cut short as they pass on into a higher realm.

Some are not so fortunate to have a loving father-who takes being a Father serious and all the responsibilities it entails. IF that is your situation or this is the case--let go of all anger and bitterness.  Maybe your Father was abusive-or just plain neglectful with family.  Regardless of what he 'did/didn't do' your anger may be justified.  Just don't hold it in forever-holding a grudge or bitterness will not hurt anyone else BUT you.  Forgive him-tell him this IF you're comfortable doing so!  If not-sit down and write him a letter-and let out ALL feelings of hurt and/or anger-then burn the letter!! You will be able to release the past hurt and pain-and it will free YOU to move forward in your path having made PEACE with yourself and the past!

If you are blessed and still have your Dad-and he's been there for you-spend some QUALITY TIME with him today if possible!  If he lives far away--call him-let him know how much you appreciate him and all he's done for you!   If you haven't made time for "DAD"--do it today!   It's far more important than ANYTHING you have to do on "FATHERS DAY"!

Any man can be a "Father"-but it takes a VERY special man to be a "DAD"!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!
