Michael Jackson-The King of Pop

This post is about Michael Jackson-and is dedicated to his memory.  Posted are links to 3 TOP videos that are listed among 60+ for viewing on UTube.  What did he bring to this world?  A lot of talent from a shy, sometimes strange young man-who only wanted to please his audience.

Will the world 'miss him'?  Like him or not-is up to individuals-but no-one can deny the GIFT he brought to this world.  He's left a legacy of memories behind-a man whose talents exploded in the 70s and 80s with his music and videos.

He didn't have a 'childhood'-which many of us may never understand what that must have been like.  Pushed by his father to pursue success in the 1970s-he and his brothers launched the Jackson Five.  I recently saw a news article on T.V. that interviewed the man who first went to meet Michael and his brothers. The gentleman said at FIRST he didn't want to 'waste his time'-but was told it would be worth it!  So he went-and listened and watched--then taped the first video of the young singers-amazed and in utter shock at the talent of the group-but moreso in awe of the young boy Michael who could could move like James Brown and had a powerful and unique voice for such a small child.  He saw something-that special 'something' that he KNEW people would never forget--raw talent-that would forever grow-as would the young mans abilities.

Over the years the man who promoted and others who saw these qualities in Michael Jackson-were forever surprised at the sheer energy-some said he 'danced like lightning'.   He was forever seeking new ways to dance-to move--but his own abilities or whatever energies he had guided him-and left people speechless-as his talents soared higher-with each new step of movement-he grew bolder.  Michael Jackson opened the doors for many African American singers-to do MTV videos as he was the 'first'!  His dance steps were imitated on every street corner-and kids everywhere were buying 'red jackets'!  The effect he had on young people was one very 'few' have had on a generation-challenging them to develop skills and talents.  He was always seeking 'perfection'-which sometimes I DO think is why he 'was forever changing his appearance'!

There's so much I could say about this performer.  Too much-too long.  I grew up with his music in the 80s'-watched his life and him as the years went by.  I'm definitely not ashamed or afraid to say with ALL his many fans--I  too will miss him-and so will many even if they do NOT admit it! *S*   Michael had his share of problems-but I do feel the pressures of what he did for a living and the stress-that of being the "King of Pop" were phenomenal-as he'd also compared the stresses of his own life with Elvis' according to Lisa Marie Pressley. I don't think anyone can ever imagine what 'that' kind of stress is like-and how if affects ones' life.   I just hope he has found peace now in his afterlife.  Michael Jackson-is gone but he will never be forgotten-by anyone.  I found some of his top videos listed on UTube.  Last night I watched 3 of his most famous videos I had not seen in years-and felt sad-but the ENERGY in them literally had me up out of my chair-dancing!!    Michaels' SPIRIT is forever captured on these videos!

I hope you'll go take a listen though especially to the 'last song' entitled, "Gone Too Soon"..

This song he wrote for a child named Ryan-who was dying of AIDS.  Ryans' mother recently stated how Michael had given a lot to Ryan prior to his death-and she how impressed she was with Michael and the compassion he showed to her son.   Michael wrote the song after Ryans' passing in his memory.

Legendary Motown24 Performance:

This post is dedicated to Michael Jackson, family, friends AND 'fans'!

The dance and music will live on forever...

"In the end, the most important thing is to be true to yourself and those you love and work hard. Work like there's no tomorrow. Train. Strive. Really train and cultivate your talent to the highest degree. Be the best at what you do. Get to know more about your field than anybody alive. Use the tools of your trade, if it's books or a floor to dance on or a body of water to swim in. Whatever it is, it's yours. That's what I've always tried to remember."
