Controversial Topics: Evolution Or The Big Bang Theory?

Did We Evolve Or Did We Collide?

In all the voice chat rooms I have ever conducted in my life, this had to be one of the most heated debates.  Some people think we evolved from tiny organisms, thus eliminating the god factor, while others are firmly set that God created everything during the 'big bang' that God put us here and everything with it in seven days.

I Potentially Believe

I believe that technically both theories can go together, and my reasoning for this is because even if we evolved from an organism, how did the organism get here?  Somewhere, somehow it was created, but if that was the beginning of time, then it had to be created by something.

Additionally, I believe we weren't perfect species when we were put on this earth, and I don't believe Adam and Eve probably looked much better than the common cave man if it serves me right, and yet we are different with our species as time has went on.

My Conclusion

All right, this is my conclusion, but of course, you could have a conclusion of your own, but I have a theory that a higher power created the first known being, and we have evolved to be what we are today as a result of changes with the earth.  I feel rather than fighting eachother, both have good points, and should also be challenged more deeply by putting them together respectively.

Please feel free to tell me what you believe, so we can share further discussions as a group in the future.

Actually, the theories you are referring to above come from Jewish oral traditions, and I would like to clarify a few points here:

1. Seven Days = Seven Aeons
2. Adam and Eve were archtypes and Adams first Wife (in spirit before physical manifestation) was Lillith.
3. THe Adam you refer to is Adam Kadamon who "walked with God" in the 'Garden of Eden" - all this happening in a dimension where in matter does not exist.
4. Yes, there was a Big Bang, Yes, we did eveolve.

It never ceases to amaze me though how people quote biblical verbage without actually having researched the actual roots of the text. Bottom line, it is a Jewish writing, and can not be fully understood unless you read it from a Jewish  perspective. The scripture is permeated throughout with types, shadows and symbolisms that have specific allegorical meanings, even the letters individually pondered have a meaning unto themselves.

I believe the writer's theory on this blog refers to the univesal theory of creation and Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. Christians theory of creation is that God created the universe and all living things which includes Adam and Eve within 7 days.  With due respect to Readings by SongSpell, the blog was written based on a Christian's readings in the first Book of a "Christian Bible called Genesis. It is appreciated that you have shared your thoughts on a Jewish equivalent words but you should have also researched where Angels Tears of Heaven point of view was taken from.
It is disappointing from a caller's perspective to read an advisors comments on someone else's blog that implies " You are wrong and I am well informed than you are because I happen to know this". Both of you are correct but unfortunately, while the writer shared her opinions, your statement above included unnecessary comments.Christians have also our version of the creation just like the Jewish people the only difference isChristian teachings have used simple english words and the first humans was simply named as Adam and Eve.
Peace!

Thank you Song for a very interesting opinion.  It is very educational, and that is what I wanted.  Okay, so if I need to know more about this topic, I will certainly start reading about it from the Jewish perspective as well.  I would very much like to know the knowledge you have shared with us in your posting.

Thank you very much for explaining more of my opinion and viewpoint from a 'reader's perspective'.  You are right, I was looking at the Christian background, but I guess the one thing we will see here is that there are many different religious backgrounds.  I think all religions have something in common, and I appreciate all forms of communication on it.  I didn't even know that this was another reader, and lately, I've been making waves with them, but you are also right about another thing.  It is not right to try to make it look like I have less knowledge, it's supposed to be a shared knowledge.  Thank you very much for your explanation of what I was trying to say, because you are absolutely correct.
