How To Combine Colors
There are a couple of steps you should take in arranging your colors to create an atmosphere. Follow the steps below to know what you are doing.
Questions To Answer;
-
What type of mood do you want to create? Do you want a strong mood, or a subtle growth in the mood?
-
What room do you want this atmosphere to reside in, to promote moods and actions?
-
What items will you use to represent the colors you are either combining together, or using separately.
Finding The Color Meaning:
-
Use the hex chart I have copied below to figure out what colors surround, or are around which colors to create the transition effect you are looking for. (Ignore the number codes unless you are using this for changing font colors on your articles, and this chart came from: Visibone.)
If you are selecting one caller that's a transitional phase, use the meanings of the colors that create them to come up with the response in mood you are going to promote. Then get to work, and decorate, and once you do, be sure to sit and admire the feeling your atmosphere reveals. |
