Is This The End Of Time?
This is a question being asked by many people in this modern world, and it's a very scary fact to face. Revelations is mentioned in the Bible, and scientists all over are expressing sentiments correlating to the Bible. It's almost like science and religion are actually coming together in this sense. Do I think it's the end of time though? Well, let me explain some of my beliefs and you'll see how I feel about the opinions I have that seem to fall together. |

Let me start by explaining if I believe in God. The answer is a definite yes. I do feel something, or someone had to put us here, but then I also question how God got where he was. It's like the question keeps revolving, but the answer is never quite clear.
Okay, now let me explain if I believe in the Bible. Well, I believe it has good moralistic values in many senses, but do I believe in the Bible in it's entirety? Not exactly. There's a reason for why I feel like this though, which I'll get to in a minute.
Now let me bring something else into consideration, which is the fact that the earth has gone through huge devestations a million years ago. We have found computer chips way older than what we now have created, which must mean there was another civilization out there much like our own. Did they bring on the destruction of earth from the ignorance of the effects of their creations?
What I believe of the stones that were inscribed on, was that devestation took hold of that civilization and only the strong survived. These people knew that growth was possible, but also knew the affects. While they may have understood paper was something to write on, they may have chose stones because they would last an eternity. Now, etching would take a long time, so I think they could only put so much down on the stone tablets, which were also written in Hebrew, which is another story all in itself.
Now lets skip a beat again, and I want to discuss something I had to read when I was in High School Literature. It was called, 'The Last Flower', which spoke about total destruction of the earth, but not all the things on earth died, and they were left to bring life back to the earth. |
The seven wraths of God, which are the plagues of the earth, are supposed to be poured upon us by the angels in heaven, and some would say this has happened already because of the huge catastrophes that happen.
The bible speaks of how God comes like a thief in the night to get his souls, and doesn't this happen when huge disasters that are unexpected happen? So okay, lets sum this up then.
Summary
I do believe in God, but I take the Bible for only face value. I believe the bible was written by people who wanted to get a point across from something they have already learned. I think the churches took this information to create an organized society, much like a government, to control what we do in life.
I believe what is happening now, happened millions of years ago, but does it mean the earth is gone as we know it? No. I believe the earth will again flourish from the strong, and the smart that is left here.
I believe the seven wraths of god are just guidelines and tools to help us reflect on the ignorance we have when it comes to the earth. The destruction we create through our growth is a vicious cycle. Everything we do affects the earth, which in turn, causes huge events, that while they are unexpected, really should be something to be prepared for.
We, ourselves, are the seven wraths of God, in which each step we tend to make in the modern world, our efforts bring us closer to destruction. |
