Being Grounded

Well, I have decided that I am not going to do a "TAROT of the DAY", I have been browsing and lots of people do a daily tarot. I will try to do something different for every day.

I was thinking, tarot, affirmation, spells and so on. I see that I have a lot of views, but no comments. So, if anyone wants me to do something please contact me via e-mail, or leave a comment. I am always happy to hear from you. I look forward to your comments and/or requests.

For today, let's get GROUNDED!!!

I mentioned in an earlier BLOG that we are all living busy lives. With each new day there seems to be less hours to get the things done that we need to get done. I know I posted the daily affirmation yesterday and that is a great start. I did mine this morning, and sat quietly for 5 minutes afterwards. I feel better already.

Maybe you don't want to do an affirmation and that is okay. So how about getting GROUNDED and I don't mean no dessert or t.v. time.

I will put the following steps in order and you can take it from there. It is pretty self explanatory.

~Getting GROUNDED~

1. Put on some low music, something nature based or a meditative CD. I like using any CD from Enigma. You can pick whatever suits your needs

2. Light at least 1 white candle (make sure it is contained in a glass jar or such)

3. Burn an incense stick, I prefer "Nag Champa", but you should pick one that is pleasing and calming for you.

4. Find a comfortable spot to sit with your legs crossed. If you need your back against something, a chair or the sofa will do fine.

5. Close your eyes and BREATHE!!!! This is the most IMPORTANT step of all. Breathe 3 deep breathes in through the nose and out through the mouth. These should be cleansing breaths. Blow away the days troubles, your issues and clear your mind. Continue breathing at a normal rate, in through the nose and now out through the nose. Keep your eyes closed throughout.

6. Listen to your heart...feel is slow down.

7. Clear your mind, try to think of a place in nature that you would like to be at (ie: The beach, a mountain top overlooking a valley, etc.), relax completely, feel yourself get heavy into the ground, put your energy into the ground- be it negative or positive...

6. If it's a negative energy, ask for it to be turned into a positive energy. If it's positive energy, ask that it be used to help heal the earth.

8. Imagine that there are roots coming out of you and imbedding themselves into the earth. Reach your hands up to the sky, palms upwards.

9. Continue breathing and relaxing and clearing your mind throughout.

10. Feel the energy come through your hands and run through your body to the ground.

11. When you feel connected and done (you will sense this) place your hands on the floor and let all the energy flow downwards one last time.

12. Shake your hands as if you were air drying them, open your eyes and stand up planting your feet firmly beneath you.

13. BREATHE in through your nose and out through your mouth 3 times and feel the energy run through you. You are now GROUNDED!!!

It may sound like a lot, but this process can take as little as 5 minutes. I highly recommend doing this at least once a week and for about 15 minutes if you have the time. I do this everyday. I feel it helps cleanse my mind from all the junk that clouds my thinking and judgement. Good Luck and I hope you try this!
