When one thinks of Psychics, images of crystal balls and
Eastern European accents come to mind. This mythically
perceived art is often shunned by much of conventional
society and ranks in the minds of most as nothing better
than circus trickery. Psychic Belinda Bentley however, is
very real, extremely talented and has used her abilities
not only in the service of the inquisitive, but in saving lives
as well. De Novo Magazine recently conducted this almost
magical yet very real interview with Belinda Bentley.
Suffice to say, De Novo Magazine will never quite be the
same again.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule
to answer some questions Belinda.
Ozzy: How does one go about becoming a Psychic?
Belinda: There is no secret to becoming psychic. We are all psychic in one way or
another. I believe psychic perception is a built in protector! It will tell you when not to do
something or when to do something. Most of us don’t listen to it. The secret to using your
abilities is to listen to the little voice or feeling that comes with every situation. A lack of
feeling could be an indicator too. How I became a professional psychic was to practice
reading people and using cards to help me. Some people go to school to enhance
awareness.
Ozzy: You were born and raised in America, but spent time afterwards in New
Zealand. What persuaded you to try a change of scenery?
Belinda: I moved to New Zealand as an actress. I was there to be in a TV show. I ended
up getting a lot of roles, including commercials. It was a lot easier in NZ than being in the
hustle and bustle of LA’s acting scene. It was an amazing place to be and I will be going
back.
Ozzy: Having grown up in a religious household, wouldn’t psychic exploration be
frowned upon?
Belinda: Oh yeah! It is frowned upon. That is why I did my exploration in another country.
No one knew what I was doing and I didn’t have a judgmental eye (family and friends)
watching my every move. I had a lot of freedom to explore the year I was in New Zealand.
Ozzy: Is it possible to do a reading over the Internet, or are all those psychic
websites a complete scam?
Belinda: I do them through chats all the time. A lot of people ask me this question and my
answer is simply, if you believe in cell phones then you should believe that a psychic can
read over the net. It is just energy being transmitted. As human beings we are powerful
enough to do what our electronics can do!
Ozzy: You are also an expert in a energy therapy technique called Reiki. How did
that come about and what is Reiki?
Belinda: This would be a long story to tell! In short- Reiki found me. I was looking for a
class while I was in limbo waiting for my massage therapy class to start six months later. I
signed up for Breema and for some reason I couldn’t take it and the college signed me up
for Reiki instead. I went on to become a Reiki Master. Reiki can be non-touch therapy or
hands-on. You can do it face to face or long distance. Reiki means universal life energy. It
is the same energy that makes our hearts beat and makes trees grow. When we are sick
our bodies’ energy is depleted or lacking. Reiki helps put the energy back in at its
optimum levels.
Ozzy: Was it your goal to become a celebrity and media Psychic, or is that
something that came about accidentally?
Belinda: My goal was to do what I loved. I knew I wanted my future to involve healing,
helping, entertainment and media, but a celebrity psychic? No. I always wanted the ability
just to have it, but I didn’t intend on it going where it has.
Ozzy: Without revealing anything confidential, what it the most peculiar reading
you have ever done?
Belinda: Saving someone’s life is the one that always comes to mind. I think I am still
grateful for the experience and it makes me hopeful and joyous about what I can do in the
future. I was doing a reading for a woman and her husband’s heart kept appearing to me.
It was a life or death situation. The woman did not believe me at first because her
husband had a complete physical three weeks prior. A spirit jumped in my body and took
over, because of the spirit’s message to her and her husband’s willingness, they took
immediate action. They found out he was dying! He did in fact have heart problems. The
doctors didn’t give him very long to live and told him to prepare for death. The wife
listened to my message and they ended up saving him because it. Six months later he
personally came to tell me the story and as they say, the rest is history.
Ozzy: Give us some info on your upcoming documentary called Raw Fear.
Belinda: Raw Fear is a film where I take my team, G.H.O.S.T (Ghost Huntresses On Site
Team) to haunted locations and try to connect with the ghosts who reside there. It is
mainly Stan Hall and I. We are some what ghost counselors. I personally let spirits talk
through me, possess me and relive experiences through me. Then they heal and the
energy and traumatic event is gone. Many times allowing them to experience things
through me I am healed of a fear or problem. No matter how extreme the experience is the
end result is healing and love for all evolved and it is all captured on film.
Ozzy: You have made it a mission to educate society about psychics. With many
people being so narrow minded, how difficult will such a task be?
Belinda: I am not here to convince anyone of anything and I am not here to educate
anyone who doesn’t want to be educated. I believe that skeptics are skeptics for a
reason! Those narrow-minded people can really help us ask the right questions to get to
the truth of things, but my main goal is to reach those who have always felt there is
something more to life than what we see. My mission is to reach those who want to believe
and to help them break away from narrow-minded people who hold them back, while still
respecting the place of skepticism. I believe there are more seekers than narrow-
mindedness in society.
Ozzy: Do you think there are people out there with untapped and unexplored
psychic abilities who have been taught to ignore such “nonsense” and will
never utilize their potential?
Belinda: All of us have untapped potential that will never be utilized! There is so much
potential you could live life time after life time and never get bored because there are so
many abilities to discover! I believe we have all learned to ignore some psychic skill we
have, even those who were raised believing. We are still imperfect working towards
perfection. Emotions can really hold us back. I don’t think in this lifetime I can tap into all
of my potential. There is so much I still want to learn like why some predictions can be way
off and other right on with things I had no way of knowing!
Ozzy: In closing, how about a little look into the future. Who is going to be the
next President of the United States?
Belinda: This is a good question and probably the most exciting question of the year.
Though I don’t have a lot of experience with reading politics and predicting presidents I
have a strong pull to Hillary Clinton. I keep seeing her as America’s President. Is it this
election or 2012’s election? I can’t promise you it is this election, but all I see when I ask is
Hillary!
