Astrology 101, The Fourth House

 

In my continuing series on Astrology 101, we have now progressed to the Fourth House of the Natal Chart Analysis.

The sign residing or ruling your Fourth House is going to affect your personality in the areas of your attitude toward your immediate family, your ability to nurture people, your sense of self-importance, your relationship with your father and qualities that you inherit from him and it also will represent the conditions you will find yourself in during your senior years.

Our Example Natal Chart holds Virgo as the Ruler of the Fourth House.

With this Natal Chart placement our subject will have a “perfectionist” attitude toward their immediate family.  No matter how flawed the blood relatives are, our subject will always see the highest good in them, and although our subject may offer constructive criticisms to said family members, any “outsider” who voices a concern about character flaws will be met with a brick wall.

A Virgo Fourth House will have a high level of self-importance, due to a very high intellect, these people are often intellectual snobs.

The relationship with the father is usually one that is likely to have an intense emotional and intellectual bond, with a high level of mutual understanding between the two.

Fourth House Virgo will nurture family members through communication, will be the armchair psychiatrist within the family unit, and other family members will likely seek advice and guidance from this sibling more so than from any other.

In senior years the Fourth House Virgo tends to find themselves in a very organized and well-planned retirement, spent reminiscing and ruminating and reflecting to the point that memoirs could well be successfully published.
