You can't see in this pic, but I forgot to mention, all four of her paws have white "toe socks", that's from when she was waiting up in the clouds to come down to me and the white from the clouds stuck to her little pink paddies!

Hi Briget!
What a beautiful poochie!  I, too, have obtained a beautiful Beagle Mix, abused Katrina dog.  Sorry to say, even sexually. She is terrified of rain and wind but yet so gentle and sweet.  I just love her so much!
She is afraid of her own shadow.  But, she is coming along, it's been 6 months.  Now , she no long 'subvissive 'pees', nor in the house accidents.  If I come home, she stays at the window and waits.. I have to open the door and let her run out first to greet me as she will 'pee' in exciitement but has learned to wait atleast until I open the door.  My hopes are that she will gain more self-confidece and I hope all of your  prayers are with her.

Awww, You need to post a picture of her!

I recommend trying the "clicker training" with her, everytime she comes to greet you and DOESN'T PEE, you click and treat her....  It will help to teach her consistency, confidence and renewed trust, it does work, espcecially with rescue pups, they try harder to please.

Thanks Briget and I really mean that.  I will be developing film this week and I just 'feel' she will touch your heart.  What is a 'clicker".  I use treats and that certainly has been effective but I don't want her to get fat! :)  I have 11 year old 'rescued' cats and they are the boss.  Interestingly, the mix (whatever it is) maybe someone here will see it, after about 6 weeks she began to bark when someone approached the door!  Watchdog.  Not usually a Beagle - different bark not the usual 'hound' type bark when she is excited.  She reminds me of a little fawn.  Do delicate.  She even dances.   But VERY dependent.  But, hey, this is about Bella~  I'm sorry...The part that hurts so much is that she was found on day four at Katrina going down more than she came up and then the obvious sexual abuse.  She could never have had puppies anyway but they spayed her.  But your Bella is a beauty - those eyes, yes, an Angel.  I feel that way about "Lady" too for some reason.. I will get a pic.  Wait cell phone - I'll check it out...thank you so much for your previous insight into my son's chart.  Yes, as a matter of fact, because of what I do, no one in my family wants much to do with me.  I mean, being a Keen Advisor.  Well I have done this off and on since 2001.  It appears now, with these blogs, (I think they really help us communicate with each other better) I am here to stay!  God Bless You and Bella and all you hold near and dear to your heart.  Barb

Ancestral Wisdom here again.  Took a long look at Bella, saw the one white paw that showed and surely "Touched By An Angel".  I wonder when Lady could be ready for training.  She certainly wants to please but terribly afraid of even leaving the home area.  Noises,etc.  Maybe you know something about this.  Maybe wait a bit?  Still very insecure.  Also noticed Bella's interesting photographical scene on her eyes.  Are they really blue?
