Brigid Bishop’s Tarot Thought for the Day

Happy Weekend!

Thought I would pull a card for today before I take off with my Bella for obedience training classes.  We are in Week Four of Bella’s formal education, lol, and so far she is doing wonderfully!  Sit, down, come, stay, drop it, leave it, take it, are all part of her little repertoire now.  Sometimes I think that they should have classes like this for men and children!!!  HA!Personally I find that this card is well suited to my day, as I must drive forty minutes to and from class, and then we need to take a short trip to a neighboring town where we are having dinner at a friend’s home, (lasagna, yum!).

The energy of the Knight of Swords is one of rushing, hurrying, traveling, reacting rather than responding.

The Knight of Swords rushes onto the scene impulsively, acting on his first impression of a situation with all the intense mobility that the element of air can muster, like a hurricane or tornado arriving out of nowhere.  He is the fiery part of air, fanning the flames of communication into a fury.  Aquarius rules the Knight of Swords, and as with all knights, he is a messenger.  This messenger brings news of conflicts, anger, discord, troubles and loss.

In relationships The Knight of Swords pursues his interests with great analytical adeptness, he asses a situation and cuts to the heart of the matter at hand with his sharp blade, he is pursuing his intended with the fiery intelligence that ignites his passion, he may be a great speaker or writer when expressing his emotions.

Look for impulsive activity, any period of stagnation passes quickly under his influence.

The negative connotation of this card implies a delight in being the bearer of bad news.

How will he influence your day today?  Let me know.
