Holy Cow! God Bless Phil Rizzuto

 

Yankees Great Phil Rizzuto has passed away.

Let's all say a prayer that he meets his Maker in joy and happiness as he returns home.

I had the pleasure of meeting the man in person back in the mid-90's at a Hall of Fame Induction.  I used to go every single year to the annual event and collected quite a few autographs of the famous and infamous in Cooperstown, including Phil's.

Phil was a great guy, and very unassuming.  The Baseball Fans of the world will sorely miss him and his trademark "Holy Cow!".

Scooter was the oldest living Hall of Famer, I have many times used his other catch phrase, "What a Huckleberry!"

Phil was also a WWII Navy Veteran.

Please join me in a prayer of farewell to an American Great.
