Choose Happiness!

Some years ago a boss of mine told me that he heard a speaker once (Anthony Robbins, I believe) talk about choosing every morning before you put your feet on the floor to choose to be happy and to feel the wonder of life in the day you are entering ... or, to decide to have a rotten day. He told me he started to literally do that, and what he found when he faced himself with that choice each morning was that he never wanted to choose to be miserable. So he always chose happiness ... and ... once he started to CHOOSE HAPPINESS, he never had a "bad day" again!

So, I adopted the habit too ... to CHOOSE HAPPINESS first thing each morning. And you know what? I have found that, even on a "difficult day," I AM HAPPY! There is a river of joy within each of us. All we have to do is decide not to block the flow.

Taking this a step further, as you encounter each experience within your day ... arriving at work to a desk full of papers, a grumpy person in a meeting, slow traffic on the way home, irritable children or husband when you arrive home ... you get to choose how you will move through each experience. You can be at peace as you experience the slow traffic (and find things to keep your emotions high, like singing your lungs out with the tunes on the radio), or you can choose to be miserable as you experience the slow traffic.

See?

Happiness is not a condition; it is a choice.

I hope you can feel the joy flowing through you. For me, this is real. This is a way of life. This is what I have come to know is our natural state of being. May it be infectious! May your own river of JOY be absolutely bursting from its banks!

To your JOY,

CJ

I'm life is in dispair right now, because my ex-spouse of 38 years decided to run away with his mistress. he alway had affairs throughtout of marriage, i think he though affairs were normal. But I agree with you you have a choice to be happy but life is hard for me right now because I still love him and i am having a hard time moving on with my life. I do want to choose happiness and I have been making an effort to think happy thoughts and I know it does work because I know I could over come this.

Most of my life, I have very positive, yet low-key person, yet in the past few years (namely 5 years) i have been silently depressed, and isolating myself. Today is actually the first time in a long time i feel good, and from this day forward i will awaken and tell myself before my fet hit the floor i will be happy today, i believe this will get me back on track, keep me in your happy thoughts, together we can change the face of the world, positively.

Yes, I do believe whatever you put out in the universe you will receive it. who ever or what ever you believe in, your wish will always be granted because you set your mind to know that whatever it is your going through it shall pass. With that in mind you choose to go forward and to be happy no matter what because your focus and intent is to seek happiness.

It  indeed IS  true and  it  works  like  "wishful  thinking"  or  "self-fulfilling  prophesies" ,if  you  really  mean  it  with  whole  of  your  heart  and  mind , with  faith. We  can  learn  to  "will" to  be  happy by  conditioning  ourselves.

You  may  not  be  able  to  change  your  outlook  to  a happy  one , if  you  doubt  the  efficacy  of  such  simple daily  exercise.

Happiness is  definitely a state  of  mind  or  condition , which  can  be  choosen  and  imbibed.

Despite  the  life's  cruel  (sometimes) reality ,  we  can  be  spiritually  happy ,  if  we  ignore  the  impossible  and  leave  it  to HIS  disposal.

"Life  is  the  art  of  the  posssible"  and  as  long  as  we  perform  the possible  with  utmost  commitment ,we  can  be happy  even  if  we  fail  sometimes  on  account  of  factors  beyond  our control.
Let us  all learn  to  be happy willingly !!!
