I've been a Nurse for 30 years.  I can remember working with Residents that had not had a wink of sleep in over 3 days. Working in Trauma as I did, these poor kids (and yes, I called them kids) didn't know their crap from Crisco when they were/are that tired. Most misdiagnoses came/come when the very people you've put your  absolute trust and confidence into; your loved ones very lives; on these sleep deprived professionals. Most were lucky to have seasoned Nurses to step in for them when they got that tired. Some were/are arrogant enough to think they were above everyone else and didn't need "handmaidens" to cover for them when they made a mistake.  Some of the charts I reviewed were illegible and sloppy; often, the orders were not there and I'd have to find them to correct their errors.

I liken those Residents to Psychic Advisors who continue to remain "On-Call" 24/7.  What kind of Readings/Intuition does one give/have when they are awakened in the middle of their sleep? Or do you stay awake literally 24/7?  What is your motivation to remain UP 24/7?  Is it money, or do you  really choose to help our fellow human beings? Does the Quality of your Readings improve when you're sleep deprived? Are you doing your clients a dis-service by taking calls 24/7?

Should Advisors be on 24/7?

Personally, I know after I've given a detailed reading, I am tired!  My energy is drained and I need to re-group so I may provide the next client who chooses to call me my complete energy and attention. I place myself on arrange a call, drink some water(lemonade, iced tea), meditate, and then I am ready to take the next call.

Keen has had an influx of new Advisors in the past year.  And as time goes on, I think our clients will separate the wheat from the chaff and those of us worth our salt will remain steadfast.

Enjoy your day!  Cheryl
