Fettuccine Alfredo
Most people don't make this because they think it takes soooooooooooooooo long to make OR it requires alot of ingredients. The truth is it's quick and easy to make this. Truth be told, it was the first recipe I placed in my book. Enjoy, Cheryl
1 pint heavy cream
½ cup (1 stick) butter
½ cup romano cheese
½ cup parmesan cheese
½ cup pecorino cheese
1 lb. fettuccine cooked as directed on the box
Bring to a SLOW rolling boil, the cream and butter.
Once to a boil, add the cheese; stirring frequently. Sauce will thicken upon standing.
Pour over prepared pasta, toss and serve.
Don't forget the tossed salad and fresh baked bread too!
Variations on recipe: prepare sauce as directed and add shrimp, bay scallops, crab meat for seafood fettuccine alfredo...YUM!
