He Is Risen
Easter is a wonderful time of year. Very spiritual and very uplifting. When you stop to think of Easter. It is a time of miracles. The promise of Easter is not only that ... He has risen ... Easter symbolizes ... We too shall rise. For where He is, we shall be also. The spiritual energy is amazing. It breaks chains and lifts us up and it gives us another chance ... a chance to love ... a chance to live ... a chance to strive higher towards achieving a happier state of being. The promise of Easter tells us that we can rise above any obstacle and we can find love, happiness, success and joy and we can be content in a world that is constantly in upheaval and so we celebrate a beautiful memory or a miraculous event and try to live up to the miracle in our own lives.
People often talk about "The Secret" and how to connect to a higher spiritual consciousness but there really is no higher sense of consciousness than now, here, Easter time. I love Easter. It encourages the hearts and all those who are suffering that we can escape our bondage, no matter what is holding us ... we can be free and we can be happy, even in the midst of a troubled world.
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

The world is full of trouble and we will have our share ... yet we are not destroyed.

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body ... therein lies the miracle.
The message is simple: Open your hearts and minds and let the angels and the Spirit of Love, itself, teach you how to love more excellently and perfectly in your life. Not that you should be a door mat but that you should be a bridge ... connecting love and opportunity ... making the world more humane and lifting the torch of freedom from injustice.

Do You Know Him?

One night, I had a dream that I was lost in the forest. This was a serious forest, a very dangerous place. Filled with wild animals and insects, I have never seen before. A wild animal could rip me to shreds in this forest, I needed to find help. This was a very dangerous place ... how did I end up here? It was getting dark and I knew I would not find my way out of the forest that night I would be forced to sleep in the forest the whole night and I had made no preparations and my heart was fearful of being unprotected in the elements. As I walked through the forest I was amazed at the trees, they were the biggest trees I have ever seen. They must have been hundreds if not thousands of feet high. As the sun disappeared and darkness fell ... I could hear a deep breathing moaning through the forest and it frightened me ... whatever that was ... it was huge. The ground shook and the trees trimbled. I began to run fearful that a beast may be chasing me. As the cold wind blew, I shivered. The huge trees waved back and forth and I pressed on looking for any sign of life. The sound of breathing was all around me and I was very fearful. I soon came to the strange conclusion that the forest was ALIVE and I could not conceive it fully and so I ran ... in the distance I could see a cottage and a light was glowing in the window ... I ran fearfully towards it hoping someone might help me.
As I entered the cottage, no one was there. A warm fire was burning in the fire place, casting a lovely light throughout the cabin and a candle was lit and shining in the cabin's window and a warm meal was in the oven. I checked again throughout the cabin but no one was there. I was starving and so I ate the warm delightful meal and I curled myself up on the sofa near the fire place and almost drifted off to sleep, promising myself that I would return and pay the owner of the cabin a handsome sum for my stolen shelter. I knew I could find my way out of the forest from here ... I could hear traffic on a highway but was too tired to walk any further.
My heart lept in my chest, I could hear it again ... that deep breathing that seemed to vibrate the trees and the ground around me ... what is that? I fearfully questioned ... afraid to know the answer.
Then, it dawned on me ... the deep breathing in the forest was not the trees or the forest that was alive ... it was God walking with me, it was His breathing I heard. The breathing that I heard now, it seemed like the cabin itself had come alive and was breathing, the cottage was ALIVE. No, I realized, it was God, He was with me. I was afraid because I sensed His power and He was great ... to which there was no beginning and no end in Him and I was in Him and He was in Me.
I curled up and I gave Thanks To God as tears ran down my face for providing all of my needs and keeping me safe. I could have died. I could have been hurt or injured. So many bad things could have happened as they often do in this troubled world. I guess I wept because I didn't deserve it and I knew I was selfish and I was afraid and yet He provided for me anyway and loved me ... when I didn't deserve it and I knew ... I did not deserve it. I'm so thankful that He did it ... just for me ... He kept me safe and brought me safely out. He provided a shelter, food and comfort for me in a baren wilderness.
He is my Provider. He is my Redeemer. He is my Protector. He is Bread, when I'm hungry. He is my Comforter. I guess I love Him because He first loved me.
Can you see what He is now?
Now you know the miracle of what it is like, to know Him.
Do You Know Him?
Trouble will find you in this world but knowing Him, He will keep you from all harm and provide for your every need. Can you see what He is now?
If you want to know Him, just say this prayer:
"Dear Lord, I pray that you will not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Please think of me according to Your mercy and for Your goodness' sake, O LORD. Lord I turn from all of those sins that I committed and I ask for Your help in washing the memory and thoughts of that sin completely from my mind, body and spirit. Please restore me to faithful obedience to Your Word, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit anew, so that I may keep Your commands all the days of my life." (Based on Psalm 25:7)
