Making Hard choices
To decide is to walk facing forward with nary a crick in your neck from looking back at the crossroads. ~Betsy Cañas Garmon
Life is full of hard decisions. We get to a crossroads in our lives
where we have to know from our hearts, our minds, our very souls where we
want to go, what we want to do. The problem most of us have is we
waver. We make a decision, we start that goal, then someone somewhere
says a negative response, or it is taking more time than we want , so we
start thinking we should just give up. Goal : lose 20 pounds, start
today. Oh wait, mom has chocolate cake, we'll start tomorrow. Its the
little decisions that get us so we think why bother. Goal:To be a
artist, having our work well known.. Oh wait, my best friend says that
will never make any money until the artist is dead!. We'll get a 9 -5
today work on the art when we can. Kids, love , that 9-5 turns out to
be 7 - 8, as the money gets better , better. We are 50 , having given
up our dream. Goal: This is the love of our lives. He/she was sent
from the powers that be. we both know it, we can feel it. Oh wait,
he/she is afraid, he/she has someone else chasing them, he/she has a
past love who won't let go, : we'll give up, go with everyone else under
the sun. Our key thing in life to reach our goals, our dreams, our
heart is to not let go, not give up. Put our face forward, put on
blinders, put on earmuffs, paste a smile on our face, when fear creeps
in, doubt wanders through, tell it to go away, with nary a look
backwards we will succeed. Our decision: to succeed, to win!!
Victory is on its way..
saints: Saint
Alphonsus Maria de Liguori (September 27, 1696 – August 1, 1787) was an Italian
Catholic Bishop, spiritual writer,
scholastic philosopher and
theologian, and founder of the
Redemptorists, an influential
religious order. He was
canonized in 1839 by
Pope Gregory XVI and declared a
Doctor of the Church.from wikipedia Credible witnesses on a number of occasions attested to the fact that
ST.
ALPHONSUS MARY DE LIGUORI (d. 1787) was seen at two different locations
at the same time, once being seen in the pulpit preaching a sermon and at the
same time being in the confessional. Another time he was known to be in Naples
preaching to university students when a poor woman called at Pagani to receive
the alms usually given to her by the Saint. A lay brother, on answering the
door, told her of the Saint’s presence in another city and sent the poor
woman away. Suddenly St. Alphonsus appeared and gave her the usual amount of
money.from tanforum
I am not of any particular organized religion. In my studies I share
with you from various means so we can get a clear indication of how
every religion, every part of the universe can be learned spiritual
nature from as we move along our path. This am I watched 2 geese fly
over calling out. I was out walking the dogs, thinking about what I
would write about in this message today. here is what linsdomain says
about geese: imprinting life paths, communication:
The Goose also
helps in communication, especially with the written word.
