Thinking differently
"Coloring outside the lines is a fine art." - Kim Nance
We all want something more in our lives. Yet when we try to think how
to change our lives, give us the things we want, we desire, we get
frozen with fear . We try to think logically, reasonably on how to do
things. We listen to those around us, our loved ones, professionals,
the media. We look at the rules, the way others have accomplished
things, yet we seem to be spinning our wheels, stuck, without true
movement. I love Tennessee mornings. This am the pups and I were out
in the warm morning listening to the whippoorwills, the songbirds
singing. whippoorwill sings of the light finally coming, the night is
finally over. This tells us that bad times will end. We have to be
ready for the chances, the opportunities to jump in, find our way out of
the box we have ourselves in, go for the gold! We were watching GMA
this morning as the commentator talked to the young girl who is a surfer
with only one arm. There is a movie," Soul Searcher" coming out about
her life. Now we all know that to surf takes balance which having only
one arm it would be a lot harder to balance, yet this young woman who
lost her arm to a shark attack at the age of 13 at 21 years is a
professional surfer! Now we KNOW she thought outside of the box. she
didn't think," I can't." but how can I do different? what a great
artist she is. We, too, no matter the situation can think up unusual
ways, off the wall actions, free thinkers, out of our boxes.
prophets: Daniel is of Jewish history. D
aniel (
Hebrew:
דָּנִיֵּאל,
Modern Daniyyel Tiberian Dāniyyêl, meaning "My judge [is] God") is the central protagonist of the
Book of Daniel. According to the biblical book, at a young age Daniel was carried off to
Babylon where he became famous for
interpreting dreams
and rose to become one of the most important figures in the court.
Daniel was considered a wise man, who although he was a slave became
the court's most consulted prophet.
