Maybe this is just too much pondering for a sunny Sunday morning, but clients often ask me about these concepts. It's also something I've given a lot of thought, but I've yet to come up with a better or more concise explanation of how fate and destiny are interwoven than this one by astrologer-filmmaker Antero Alli.

In my opinion, he summed it up eloquently in his film Tragos, in which one of the characters says, "Fate is what happens to everybody; nobody escapes it. Fate is unknown until it happens. Nobody controls fate. Destiny, now that's a different story. Destiny is yours to create. Fate is in the cards. Destiny is how you play them."
