The relationship changed directions like a school of fish
detecting pressure changes in the water.
All of the sudden your relationship feels as though it were
hit by a tsunami and you’re in a quandary as to what caused the shift. According to Karen Rauch Carter, author of
“Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life,” the cure can be as simple as rearranging
the furniture or clearing away the clutter.
The term feng shui means
“wind-water” in English. This ancient
Chinese art relates to object placement and environmental design. Evidence has shown that feng shui has been
around over 4,000 years. One basic concept of feng shui is that everything in
your home acts as a mirror image of your life, similar to the theory that you
are what you eat!

The purpose of feng shui is to locate areas in the home that
have good “qi” (pronounced “chi”), which means energy. Items
or furniture are strategically placed
in specific areas in order to attract positive energies into your life.
The
home is divided into nine categories, which include relationships and
love. For those of you with a little feng shui
knowledge,
“Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life” uses a type of feng shui that
doesn’t
involve a compass. According to Karen Rauch Carter, problems such as
commitment
issues, lack of trust, or a fizzling sex life can be attributed to
pictures of
ex beaus, photographs of a woman alone, one pillow or night stand
(instead of
two), a toilet in your relationship section, or anything that says,
“single” or
“alone.” If there is a board game sitting in relationship corner of your
home
or room…that might explain why you constantly attract men who play
games. If
the toilet is located in your relationship section, it might not be a
coincidence that your relationships somehow go down the toilet! Before
you
start hunting for a new home with better qi, try a few of Karen Rauch
Carter’s
simple feng shui cures: it can’t hurt. Maybe placing that cactus in the
corner
wasn’t such a good idea, unless of course you want him to leave!
