Cats, Dogs, Babies and Mother In Laws :)
As a young woman, I often wondered how my life would turn out. My parents transitioned when I was in my early 20's and I've not had any physical guidance since that time, although Spirit has been evident in my life for as long as I can remember.
As I write, my daughter is experiencing pre-labor pains. She is due to deliver my granddaughter via scheduled cesarian section on September 12th, but ... nature may step in sooner. She's had one false alarm and race to the hospital already.
While this excitement is going on, I have just returned from another trip to the west coast with Astoria which was very successful as far as connections and meeting people were concerned. Also had an opportunity to investigate a few oddities of life in San Jose and Santa Cruz which we will soon be posting to our web sites and our blog -- Incredible stuff like the Winchester Mystery Mansion and the Mystery Spot.
While I was on the west coast, my husband travelled north up the east coast to pick up his 82 yr old mother and bring her back home with him to live with us. She is truly a gem -- a lovely woman who needs to be here with us just as much as we needed her to be here. She didn't come alone, however. Gramma Helen has a little pooch, a Jack Russell terrier -- cute little gal, very sweet and barks like mad when someone drives down our road. I like that. But .. she has never had the opportunity to meet and know cats and as anyone who knows me ... my husband and I have a fleet of kitties here at our home. The fun began with a few chases around the front yard resulting in kitties fleeing in every direction, including up a few trees. Poor little Jessie, the terrier, has never seen so many cats in her life and I really don't know if she'd know what to do with one if she actually caught one. I think I'd rather not know, thank you !
And, as if this wasn't enough to be going on all at once, Astoria is now here in Florida to investigate paranormal happenings on the east coast. Today we decided to investigate the paranormal happenings at Mexico Beach .. and guess what? We can honestly say that there were no ghosts, UFO's or strange beings on the beach (besides us two!) .. but .. the water was very warm, crystal clear and the beach was loaded with pure, perfectly white fluffy sand .. we chose to take a little dip just to make sure there were no strange happenings anyway ;) Feeling that the area was relatively safe, secure and free of aliens, we left Mexico Beach to continue our search elsewhere!
What this all amounts to is that life throws us curve balls. It is up to us how we catch them and utilize the experience in a positive way. This is how I am viewing these recent events in my life. Gramma Helen is a blessing with a wealth of knowledge from her life experiences that Astoria and I are drinking in with great joy, constantly anticipating her next gift of wisdom. Her little doggie is a blessing as well .. offering the opportunity for our cats to discover the fun of relating to a different being, besides all those ghosts and aliens ~smile~
As for the new baby ... well, I just can't buy enough PINK for little Jaidyn Elizabeth. I can't wait to hold her in my arms and love her to pieces, by welcoming her to Planet Earth with blessings for a long, happy, joyful life filled with positivity and love!
And, as for my wonderful partner, Astoria .. she is truly a blessing to me and my family. Besides being a truly gifted reader as many of you know, she is a fine lady and dear friend. I hope her visit to Florida will be eye opening .. and so far, it appears that it has been! Just wait til we go investigate the Indian Burial Grounds off Lake Wimico ! You'll read it here first .. I promise!
With all of the above, it has made it a little difficult for me to be as available as I would like to be. But, as I said, life throws us curve balls .... and I'm catching them as fast as I can! Life is good!
