Greetings Dear Ones ...
Smiling in the face of adversity can be quite a feat, especially when it seems that the whole world is against us. How do we recoup from emotional attacks that shake our very foundation and self-confidence? Today's positive affirmation is designed to do exactly that --- give us the strength to 'keep on smilin' .. just like in the 1974 chartbuster by southern rock band, Wet Willie ...

The whole idea behind the song's lyrics is that no matter how bad things get, a smile is our greatest defense ~~ and it really, really irks those of a negative bent who's desire is to see us stumble. "You gotta keep on smilin..."
Here is today's affirmation --- use it often and ... ~~smile~~ when you repeat it :)
"Although there may be times in my life that I experience hardships, I trust the process of life and know that I am safe, I am protected and everything is okay from the larger viewpoint. It's been said that 'misery loves company' ... well, that may be so, but misery is just not the company we necessarily want to keep in our lives. Our best defense against negativity and those who subscribe to a more negative way of thought ... is through our smile. Negativity cannot exist within the loving aura of joy, happiness and trust. The more we smile, the more our muscle memory kicks in so that it becomes second nature for our lips to curl at the thought of negativity. When we trust that all is perfect within the scheme of things, we grasp a deeper meaning of actually feeling good about ourselves, no matter what happens; we 'know' that we are safe, loved and okay with whatever change comes our way. And, oh boy howdee .. it drives our detractors to distraction to see the object of their ill-will shrug off their negative energy. Yes !
Remember ... ".Keep on smilin through the rain, laughin at the pain, Rollin with the changes til the sun comes out again." And, the sun will come out again, just as the hard times will pass. Know that we will never be given more than we can handle. Life is a test ~~ a test of our strength, our will, our love and our trust. But, don't worry .. it is an 'open book' test, and we have plenty of chances to get it right ! Just .. keep on smilin !
