How to Improve Our Personal World Through Thought Control
We think all the time. Our mind is a continual whirl of mental activities -- thoughts, feelings, sensations and emotions all combined and sometimes running at once. We think … without thinking. It comes as a natural process for us, just like breathing.
But, the mind, much like a child, needs direction and guidance to mature. Without structure, our mind considers itself the boss and we meekly follow along. This is not conducive to productive living.
Every thought we think is a psychic energy which is put out into the Universe where it becomes manifest as reality. Our thoughts impact our health and wellness. Thinking positive thoughts manifests positive action.
Our thoughts attract both the animate and inanimate; we attract people with our thoughts as much as we attract objects. You’ve heard the saying “Birds of a feather, flock together” or “like attracts like.” These sayings ring true because each thought begins the process of manifestation. Accepting this as truth, we realize that every negative experience we have is brought on by our own doing. Following this pattern we can then accept responsibility for our own actions .. both negative and positive.
We can positively improve our personal world by controlling what we think and filling our minds and hearts with joyful, loving thoughts. And for those times where we may be unable to do so, we can use positive affirmations to help us accept that which we cannot change, such as another’s actions.
When a negative thought enters our mind, particularly those borne out of fear, we can change the thought pattern instantly by saying “CANCEL, CANCEL, CANCEL” which will immediately effect change.
I know I have mentioned it time and time again that fear is merely nothing more than False Experience Appearing Real -- however” fear is so commonly accepted that it is very difficult to quell its appearance. The way to reduce the effect of fear is to downplay its method of operation by reminding yourself that it is all illusionary.
Don’t allow fear to become part of your daily equation. Think loving thoughts and attract love. Think hurtful thoughts and attract hurt. Think negative thoughts and attract negativity. This is a conscious choice on our part. So … you need to ask yourself ….what do you want?
Our thoughts fill the psychic atmosphere in which we live, work and play, so let us fill our lives with positivity by thinking loving and good thoughts. Every thought begins its life psychically and then comes back to us in the physical as a manifestation of our true desires, whether it is a situation, a person, a thing or a circumstance. Choose your thoughts wisely, and your personal atmosphere will be so affected.
How do you control your thoughts and therefore control your personal atmosphere? Become more aware that you are “thinking.” We “think” all the time without realizing it, so make yourself become more aware of the actual process. Be aware of every thought you are thinking.
If a negative thought comes into your mind, immediately nullify it by telling yourself “I cancel this thought NOW so it will not enter my subjective mind.”
And, set aside a few moments every day to meditate, contemplate or otherwise fill your heart with positive affirmations.
They say that the mind is a terrible thing to waste. Well, this may be true, but allowing our mind to control us is … just as bad for us! Think positive thoughts, and live a positive life!
