Air France Flight 447
As a frequent flier from North America to Europe on those very kind of planes Airbus 330 I can only imagine what shock and horror the families of the people who were on board that plane are feeling right now. Reading the Irish Times this morning it gave somewhat of an account of the nationalities that were lost on that flight. Three young newly qualified Irish Doctors from Trinity College in were on that flight, and "an Air France spokesman in Rio de Janeiro spoke of 80 Brazilians, 73
French, 18 Germans, nine Italians, six Americans, five Chinese, four
Hungarians, two Spanish, two Britons, two Moroccans and individual
passengers from 13 other countries. Twelve of the 228 victims were Air
France crew. Wire agencies reported there were 126 men, 82 women and
eight children, including a baby, on board." Irish Times June 2nd 2009.
My heart goes out to those people who lost loved ones, I cannot even imagine how they must feel and it makes me so grateful that I have crossed the Atlantic so many times safely....
It just dumbfounds me that in this day and age a plane could just fall from the sky and no trace can be found ?
I know they have just this morning found some wreckage and are zeroing in on solving the mystery of what occurred and I pray for healing among the families of the people missing,
Joan
