How to keep healthy boundaries in your relationships

Apologies for........

my unavailability for the last week. I had some issues crop up that affected my ability to take calls.

My 6 month old lap tops hard drive failed, they replaced it for me and that did not work so they replaced the wifi and that did not work and now only today 7 days later they sent me a box to mail it to them overnight to fix. I was also having some difficulty staying connected by phone and comcast had to come resolve that for me yesterday. I have a loaner computer for the week and will be available on and off this week.

My water heater and boiler also decided that they did not want to work anymore.... but lucky for me my brother is a plumber and my fiancee is a plumber so they will be getting the water heater and boiler delivered today and hopefully it will be up and running tommorow.  Hard luck on me but I am holding my own mood wise :-) I suppose at this point I am in SHOCK.

If I didn't know any better I might think someone DID have a hex on me :-)

P.S. this is not an April Fools :-)

Dear Joan:

You know I think this last month was the revolt of the electrical appliances to tell you the truth.  My oven bit the dust, the little toaster oven will only work now on incinerate and we have had constant trouble with cable and our internet.  It just runs in waves around here so I can relate.  I am totally not myself without my internet connection for all my work is done on the computer.  I am just a bear until I get it back and running.  I will be keeping you in my prayers and know that I have missed you.

Ya know, this last two months has been tough, my car decided to die on me and it was a lovely audi station wagon with heated leather seats. My Liz Clairborne jacket was left in the back of a taxi on the way home from Ireland and I got my first speeding ticket in Ireland in February!! I thought that was bad until my hard drive went and then the water heater, if that smoke alarm goes off again I truly will have to be institutionalized. No hot water, the heat is sketchy at best and the new one is not ready to go yet, the electrician has to come back again tommorow, my nerves are frazzled... So I am just in quiet shock, unable to work and or function too well not to mention that cute puppy is doing his business all over the place !!

You poor woman! My goodness you have been busy.

B R E A T H E.  Take a step back and just deal with one issue at a time. No doubt, you have been exercising your patients lately.
