Boundaries

How to keep healthy boundaries in your relationships

Blogging the good, the bad, the ugly and the BLOG HOGGERS....

I love the blogs, I love what I can learn from them and I love it even more when I can see a situation from a different perspective by reading a blog and that happens a lot and I love it.

But there are some aspects of the blog arena that do bother me a little.

I do not care for multiple posting of the same blog. I am not sure of the purpose of it? Perhaps there is a good reason for it? I for one, do not know what that could be but if anyone can tell me why it might change my mind.

I do not care for multiple postings on the same day by the same person, again there may be a reason, but I for one cannot at this time, think of one? I call it blog hogging, but maybe there is a good reason for that number of postings. But is it really necessary for you to post your blogs (several of them at the SAME TIME ) so they push other blogs out of the way? DO you really need to KEEP DOING THAT??? It's just REALLY RUDE in my opinion.......

I  do not care for posts that cannot be responded to, I thought that was the main purpose of blogs? Again maybe there are good reasons for it, but blogs that cannot be discussed and just make their statements, are not my cup of tea, again there may be a good reason for it? But again I cannot think of a good reason for open discussion to be not welcome on any subject that one might choose to blog upon?

What bugs you about the blogging process?

joan

p.s. This blog was not written by anyone else, not about anyone in particular , it was not copied from anyone else and any similiarities are merely a co-inky dink :-)

Dear Joan:

I love the blogs also and I love sharing in the comments and letting others comment on my blogs etc.  I don't see the reason for not allowing comments either.  I don't mind when someone posts more than one blog a day and I have done that myself but I try to spread them out most of the time. I find myself getting an idea about something I want to share and I will post twice in one day sometimes.  Most of the time getting one blog per day is a chore for me.  I hope the blogs get better and better and we can find more ways to help our clients, our friends and ourselves.  Thanks Joan for giving us another slant on things.

I was not referring to two blogs in the one day, some days I have seen three in a row by one reader and then several others on the same day. I was talking about blog hogging and I agree that the blogs may in fact help others, and gives us all differing perspectives......

Joan:

Great blog!  So many times I have read and blog, and wanted to comment - and comments are not allowed.  Most of the time I want to say THANK YOU and it is weird when you can't respond.  Also I have seen what you speak of as BLOG HOGGING.  Again, I agree with you - there is no reason for that.  So, thank you for posting this today!

I have learned much from these blogs and the opportunity for readers to express themselves in a manner that can be read and commented upon ( not all can be) by readers and callers alikke is a great place to learn and see not to mention exchange ideas whereby people can learn and share. Long may it last :-)

Joan,
Thanks for posting this! i agree with eh fact that there are way to many blog hoggers as you say. and it is RUDE.

There has been a time or two I think I have posted two also but I never try to keep posting the same thing over & over in a day, or to push others down on the list.

I feel we all can contribute & learn from one another.

WHAT BUGS ME?
That every time I post a blog telling the truth and revealling facts that must be changed in this system, a ton of people respond and try to come together to resolve the issue yet KEEN pulls it down because "SOMEONE" (Not you DGT, I know who though) COMPLAINS ABOUT IT AND MY BLOGS GET PULLED. IVE HAD 3 BLOGS PULLED THIS WEEK A CONCIDENCE? Perhaps not...CANT KILL THE LIGHT
SO I TELL EM - QUIT TRYING...ONLY MAKES MY SHINE BRIGHTER... Smiles
Thank U for this BLOG

The blogs are a great resource, they are a great way of sharing and let's be honest there are some really good bloggers out there....
Crystal, yes we can learn from each other. Silvana, I do not report blogs, I am not the blog police :-) it is not my place, I have had a few removed even though I cited where I had gotten them from and why I posted them, that kind of thing does not only happen to you, it happens to us all.
And you are welcome James...
