How to keep healthy boundaries in your relationships

Christmas Shopping.......

I tried to be organized this year with my shopping and I purchased a hdtv for my fiancee on line one month ago, I was charged for it and given a delivery date by Best Buy and I was proud that I was thinking ahead.

This morning I am home and I receive a call, informing me that the product I paid for a month ago is NOT available and I had to choose another product.  Just 24 hours before it is supposed to be delivered.

I call best buy.com and wait 48 minutes and the call ends abruptly and so I call the store, they tell me that I have to deal with the online part of best buy.

I call the person who delivered the bad news that I was not getting what I ordered and it was not available to see if she could help, that's a no go either.

I am currently in line again being again sickened by being held captive by being forced to listen to ( thank god for speaker phones ) how wonderful and EASY it is to order on line with Best Buy while I wait AGAIN to speak with a customer service representative!!!!!!!!

So if you are waiting to talk to me I am in call service hell at the moment.....press one to ....and how wonderful and easy it is to buy on line from best buy.

It gets better, I call them back wait 37 minutes and I get a woman who tells me that according to her records I AM getting that tv tommorow. I ask her to clairfy, and she tells me that she cannot guarantee that delivery, so I tell her that I did not want to hear any more apologies, I just wanted the problem solved. So how can we resolve this? How can I know if I have to go back out to purchase a tv. Now I am out a lot of money, and I have no guarantee that I am getting that delivery. She cannot tell me when anyone can get back to me to tell me, the delivery date latest is Thursday and no one will get back to me before then.........screaming silently inside...........

If I was not crying, I might be laughing at this point, I am waiting for a call from the one helpful person I have come across at this point, a woman called Carla in the delivery service department :-) Sometimes it's handy to have an Irish accent ya know :P

Dear Joan:

I think you are going to triumph here but I would certainly scream to high heavens and indicate to someone in charge you intend to call the online Better Business Bureau about this.  I think this is so unfortunate for you.  I am keeping you in my prayers and hoping that what I see truly comes about for you.

Joan-
You will think I am the B from H when I tell you this. When something like this happens call corporate headquarters. Tell them of your disappointemnts. Tell them how you would like the situation resolved. Be firm but kind. Sometimes customer service just does not have the authority to make the decisions. I am so sorry you are going through this. Either way it is their mistake and they will correct it in time.
