Boundaries

How to keep healthy boundaries in your relationships

Have you noticed that .....
there are people who act one way in a certain situation and act completely different in other situations... Now, for me personally, that is always not so much of a shock when one is all sweetness and light to portray themselves one way and then can almost change personality and be like a different person when confronted with different circumstances where they feel the need to be seen in a certain light and yet you have experienced a completely different side to them...

I find that a little concerning.... and I have a tendency to pull back when confronted by such issues and watch but each to their own...because there are many sides to all of us, some that we put on display in certain situations, and some that we reserve for certain people....but most are not as far apart and different in personality or traits that it provides room for thought and concern....

Here is to being able to live in balance with our emotions that we are not displaying a different person to everyone we encounter in our lives :-) That can be confusing to deal with .............

I agree with you, Joan. I ALWAYS match the individual in front of me with a precise amount of consistency from past dealings (while factoring in the occasion and audience present) while reading the agenda (i.e. ego based --- as in what does this person want out of or from me, such as approval, connections etc.) while looking at the soul's purpose for the meeting. (Yes --- I'm a busy mind but it keeps me entertained and amazed at the similarities and differences contained within the human condition.)

As always, good topic to blog. Thank you for sharing...

ahh the agenda is always important ( more important to some than others anyway :-) and a busy mind is the one that will most likely get to the root of the problem, and get to the lesson quicker :-) Not repeating the lesson should be the goal...

Thank you Joan for bringing this to light. It is always so amazing to me still to this day that when I experience something, there will be another that is either going through the same or has a topic on it.  Gotta love the spirit world!

I just encountered this exact thing you spoke of.  Out of the blue, a very uncalled for reaction from a person I perceived as being much higher, spiritually. Not only did this send red flags falling all over the place, but it explained why this person is going through what they are in their life.  Instead of inquiring as to what is happening, they react the total opposite of what they portray to others in their life.

It is very disheartening to me to say the least.  But we all experience this from time to time. That is why God calls us to use wisdom and discernment.  And this is yet another lesson on our path.

Thank you so much for bringing this up!

With love,
Annie

Wisdom and discernment is hard to apply sometimes when we are only human and yet...there are others who seem to expect a certain standard from us that they cannot give to us when we need it from them...ain't humanity grand ?
