Boundaries

How to keep healthy boundaries in your relationships

Hmm Food for thought, I do not care to be misled.....
It goes along with my feelings about my favorite quote...
"The truth when told with Bad Intent....is worse than lies you could invent...."
William Blake...
Now WHY on earth would Sarah Palin make the statement that she has international experience and cites a visit to Ireland as part and parcel of that experience??
She was on the tarmac..... she was on a refueling visit, she did not leave the airport, or even the plane.... she did not hold a meeting with one government official, she did not kiss the ground, did not offer any opinion on the Irish Question, quite a misleading statement to in my humble....
I am there at least 4 times a year and witness all of those fresh faced soldiers going through duty free and having their first pints of Guinness, and they all look so young, and I am always wondering whether they are coming and going from Iraq. But a fueling stop cannot and should not be taken as International experience....
Like the Queen might say "I am not amused"

Maybe this is another situation like Clinton's sniper fire claim? Come on politicians PLEASE give us a break and do not make stupid claims...in this day and age we CAN check this kind of stuff out.

Well said Joan and I am not amused at all about the lies and negative ads that McCain is spreading around either.  Seems like he chose her for good reason as they seem to be cut of the same cloth.  I was amused at Ms. McCain on "The View" interview when she got very testy over the questions that showed her husband out and out lying to everyone.

Love, love, love this post!  Because I am a little too passionate about this stuff, I really cannot add more, other than to say - I agree! (grin).  Seriously, thank you for the information, I truly got a kick out of it!

She did not kiss the ground or the Blarney Stone, although I hear that's for the best as there is a rumor
(and it might just be a joke) that the locals piss on that (the blarney Stone ) every night :-)

having been to the Blarney Stone I can tell you it's  probably a whole lot easier to piss on it than kiss it :-)

Well.....since I am to old and bunged up to hang upside down to kiss the blarney stone I would have to take the course the locals choose!  Joan you are the best!

Just like she can see Russia frm her house so that makes her an expert on foreign affairs. She didn't know the meaning of the Bush doctrines or what they are about. Bless all these Naive people that think they have found their Hero.  They deserve four more year of the Bush politics and probably the worst ones off when it comes to the economy.

Seriously speaking however when are the candidates and the media going to focus on what is happening in our nation.  That includes the joblessness, the bank closures, the mortgage crisis, the educational issue and most important to me the health care crisis.  I could care less about lipstick and pigs and what a knockout punch some little women from Alaska can throw.  Where is the substance from those who are hoping to run our government.  Do we want to set woman's rights back to the dark ages and revert to pro 1950 chauvinistic society where we had to ask permission to speak and we allowed everyone to tell us to sit down unless we were spoken to.  I am ready to hear something of substance and I hope it is soon.

I know that some statements can make a persons resume seem better than it is, like when Hilary said she landed somewhere and there was sniper fire? But these days one can verify things so quickly ( kudos to google) and it does not sit well with the people who want to be informed. Although some people will always vote along party lines even when the facts show them that the people their party is touting as the next president or vice president is not the person their resume makes them out to be..

I just hope that there will be substance from some of them soon, as this dirty smear campaign is not doing any of the candidates any favors..

I have no idea IF that is true or not but it did make me laugh when I heard it the first time. Now not being the kind of person who would allow anyone to hang me upside down to kiss ANYTHING let alone a stone... I do not think that I need to gift of gab that supposedly kissing that stone bestows upon you (well my dad says I don't :-)
Who knows if that is true or not, it's what the locals joke about, although i sense it's tongue in cheek ( pants closed and all) type of joke and not reality at all...
