Boundaries

How to keep healthy boundaries in your relationships

Is it just me or....

why are there many postings that are the same by several different readers this morning? This has happened with three different postings posted one after the other by 6 or 7 readers? The same post, posted again and again and then another post by the same several readers?

Why are so many readers posting the same thing over when others have posted them? Is this a race? a competition? I am not getting it ???

Maybe it's me?

Joan

I, too, noticed that, and assumed it was the same reader with many different log-in names, since the posts are exactly the same. Which brings me to the question, how many different log-in names does a reader need???

I thought a reader could only have as many log in names as there were catagories? But I do not know that for sure, I have ONE name, many readers use different names when calling other readers and some do that to leave bad feedback, but I do not know the answer to that question.

I think it is one Advisor who has numerous names and listings on Keen.  They do one blog for all their various names and they show up one after another. I think we ought to start publishing a blog about how customers should carefully check the next page and the page before to find the good stuff!

I did not know that you could have so many names?

I am also finding that most of them are cut and paste from articles written by others.  Hmmmm I thought blogging was all about our OWN opinions and thoughts.  Or maybe it's just me.

Thanks for your post Joan.

If I do find something worthwhile that was written by someone else I love sharing it and I give credit to the author or the article or where I found it. My blogs are about my own opinion, my own ideas on a general basis though.

I don't see the harm in passing information you gather on and sharing but I feel you should give credit to who wrote it.  This situation involves One Advisor with numerous identities on Keen and writing just one blog for all the identities.  They probably did not know they would post one after the other however.  I remember one male Advisor that used to do that before as he had numerous names on Keen.  I know of quite a few Advisors that work with more than one name.  personally I have enough problems getting a blog written for just one name and could not keep up with more than that!

I love having a good article to pass on and I usually find that I can or would like to share with others that someone might find useful. I agree with giving credit where it is due. I share book names when I feel that even one person might like the book. I tend not to write a blog when I feel that I have nothing to say, or nothing that I am moved to share.

For the record I certainly did not mean to offend anyone.  I've seen Joan's blogs and a good 95% of them are her own thoughts and they are very good.  I am speaking of the advisors who ONLY post the thoughts of others, never the thoughts of their own.  Most of which I've seen posted on the web dozens of times already.  JMO is all.

As an observer and a reader of the blogs (I am not an advisor) I have to say that when I see multiple copies of the same blog it really turns me off and I don't read any of them.  I think it is way to showboat and shut others blogs out.  Very rude actually and I would definitely not call anyone that has that much disregard for others.
