Hell, I feel guilty at the price I charge.  I know Keen takes a major cut.  But I just can't see charging 5.99 a minute.  I think it's up to everyone to decide what they think they are worth.  I just remember being a caller once...those minutes add up and let's not pretend that everyone is "responsible" when getting readings.  I don't want to feel like I'm putting people in debt.

I have called a couple of readers in the $4.99 range, but I refuse to go any higher than that.  I have found some excellent readers for far less that I'll be sticking with!

I thought $25.99/minute was bad, until I saw one for $37.95/minute. That's over $2,000/hour! Do people really PAY that kind of money for a reading?

It's just sad there are people taking advantage of lonely, hurt, anxious, etc people. But what goes around comes around, that big karmic wheel gonna knock some right in the head some day. I'm not judging, maybe they are the most acurate psychic on the planet and deserve the big bucks, but I doubt it biiig time.

37.95 a minute? Mother of Divine....Where are they? I want the lottery numbers for Ireland this Saturday...you don't have to pay any taxes if you win there..... and the euro is worth more than the dollar right now.... :-)

It ought to be illegal on this site. Some of the top psychics that we see in the media don't even charge that much. My gut check tells me they aren't even gifted, they're "grifters"

Since no one is actually employed by Keen, they are free to charge what they want,or what they feel they deserve so I am not sure it can be made illegal. People actually call some of these readers which is the sad thing. Maybe I should not even be commenting as I have not called anyone of the readers that charge 5.99 or higher, I just feel that some calls could end up costing people a LOT of money. Is any readsing worth that? I am not so sure....

Yeah, I guess it's not illegal but seems kind of immoral...I've never spoken with anyone over 5.99 either. I know there's a lot of folks looking for answers and who need hope when the worry kicks in and probably think hey they must be legit and the best because it costs so much and you get what you pay for.
You can also get zip zilch and a big credit card debt too. Tragic really.
For that price for only 10 mins I could go to a spa and relieve my worries. And it would feel better.

I am also of the opinion that it is immoral and even just plain greedy. But I am really not qualified to comment on those readers since I do not call them and they could be really good and possibly to some who call them even worth the money they charge, I just would not pay that price as unless they are giving me winning lottery numbers I do not think that pearls of wisdom from ANYONE is worth 25.99 a minute.... maybe I am just cheap?

No you are not just cheap, you have a brain that's bigger than a peanut. Someone else here charges 2000 an hour?  That's not just greedy it's sick and plain wrong.
I read so much about play fair on Keen when readers complain about their feedback, is usury fair?
I sure hope some sap doesn't pay that much.  I don't even know that psychiatrists and attorneys get 2000 dollars an hour unless it's from a celebrity client. What does a professional athlete earn an hour?
One of the best psychic reaadings I ever had was from a woman at a bookstore over eight years ago.  It was 20 bucks for a half hour. She only asked me one question at the beginning, do you believe in Jesus Christ and I said yes. She said good, and proceeded to give me a reading so accurate. Wish I could find her again but was told yrs ago that she left to raise her children.  I should  have asked her for lottery numbers - ha.

Dear Joan:
I truly think having a high opinion of ones self worth is valuable but I too was absolutely shocked at some of the prices I seen on Keen.  I felt pretty cheap also but I have so many readers that are struggling and I give free minutes etc and I just have not been able to feel good about raising my price.  I give away more than I take and I have had clients for many years.  I think you can make a decent living on Keen without hurting someone.  $2000 an hour is just unreasonable I think.

These people claim to want to help others, but, the truth of the matter is, they are priced so far out of range for your average person to consult with.  Who are they helping?  0.5% of Keen callers; a very minute percentage.

I agree with Rosie about self worth but I do not think that anyone regardless of how many pearls of wisdom drip from their mouth is worth 37.99 a minute. That is my opinion, and let's face it some people do call them so maybe the callers may think that they are worth that price, it's all in the perception. One's self worth does not necessarily translate to charging outrageuos prices, not in my opinion. And this is not about having a high opinion of your abilities, I know that while I will never be 100% accurate,(how do you even measure that?)  I am honest, ethical and I am aware of my self worth as a human being and a reader. I don't think that charging very high prices is going to prove that to anyone....

I truly do not know how some of those outrageously high priced readers even sleep at night knowing they take peoples hard earned money just like that!
I have been on Keen long enough to know that there are some excellent readers that charge low rates-the high rates mean nothing to me.
Thanks for letting us comment on this.It was a good topic to bring up.
