One of my favorite quotes goes......

One can lie by ommission, one can lie by telling a half truth, or manipulate the truth to get your point across or your own way and it's still a lie. My father shared this quote with me years ago and it has stuck with me through many issues and relationships that have proven that to be so true.

Life presents us with so many tests, and one can choose to be honest, or not first with oneself and then with others about what you want and expect, and if you are not honest, it will come out eventually!! It ALWAYS does, and mostly at the most inopportune moment...... Remember that :-)

So very true Joan. My Dad used to say to us "you are who you are in the dark" so look closely at who you are before you proceed. It has kept me pretty honest my entire life. Thank you for the reminder this day and God Bless

Rosie, the world has become a different place over the years to the present day where people are oblivious to the pain and suffering they may create by telling lies, or not being there or simply being thoughtless and not there when they are needed by friends, lover or even their own children....
One starts not to be that way when you are honest with yoruself first... And one should always remember that the havoc one wreaks upon the lives of others by your deeds or words may come back to haunt you....

We may be supposed to come home to ourselves and our truths but I have had experiences over the last few months of how the truth when told with bad intent it worse than lies you could invent over and over, where people are unable or unwilling to admit what the *real* truth is and they allow it to remain elusive to them and they are unwilling to change but that is *their* deal...and to step away is the best thing one can do for a situation like that for YOU and for the person eventually you hope:-)
