Boundaries

How to keep healthy boundaries in your relationships

Teams...
When a presidential candidate chooses a v.p. they have to be on the same page, it is necessary for that in order for voters to know whether they are a good match, a good fit and whether one could (God forbid) take over for the other should anything happen to either.
McCain's v.p. pick made some statements that misled people. She said that the jet her predecessor had used was put on ebay. That made people think it had been sold ( not a BIG stretch) when that was not in fact the truth. To make matters worse, her partner TOLD people right out that it had in fact been SOLD on ebay. No wonder people would think that, from her remarks that inferred it and his remarks that said it straight out.... Perhaps what we have here is a failure to communicate? Are they good candidates? Jury is OUT for me anyway on that unlikely pair..
As for the other pair? What on earth did Biden mean when he said Clinton would have been a better pick? Is it not a bit late to be saying that kind of thing? If he did not want the position, he should have said NO.... :-) http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2008/09/biden_clinton_a.html
That concerns me and of course it was used against him and Obama and who could blame the McCain campaign....
Sheesh when that curtain closes I sure am going to have a tough time as there are aspects that make me uncomfortable on BOTH sides...

it was weird for biden to say that clinton was a better pick. i know he said it after someone in the audience bashed clinton, but it was weird to hear that.

I just feel that two people who will have the power to run such a powerful country should be able to communicate better and should always have their speech writers check facts BEFORE the foot goes in their mouths :-)

Dear Joan;

I absolutely agree with you.  This is the nastiest campaign I have seen for awhile with so many out and out lies being bandied about as if they are the Gospel Truth!  I cannot believe some of the slip ups from the campaign managers throughout this election process.  I think Hillary might of won the nomination if she had not followed her campaign managers ideas.  She was doing better when she didn't.  I think Mr. Obama has received some bad advice also.  He ought to take the high road and let the world see how desperate the Republicans have become.  It makes me really sad that no one is really concentrating on the issues now that the McCain camp is relying on mudslinging to deter the voters.  Sarah Palin cannot help McCain if he keeps stepping in crap up to his ankles that he creates with his own mouth.  I do not have a clue what Biden was thinking about either for he is an articulate man and is a good man in his own right.  This election gets more and more weird by the minute!

Like I have said many times before, who ever gets in this will be a history making election because there will either be a man of color or a woman in the white house...
I do not care for dirty tactics and there is way too much of that from both sides.
If Obama takes the high road he is accused of being weak.
If McCain does more of the dirty attack ads it may not go down well, it does seem as if that kind of campaign from both sides has a very polarizing effect and people seem to stick to their party no matter what dirty tricks they are up to...
