@AmericanExpress lets you put @EarthShod on @MTV! #ZyncMTVtj
What? I've been nominated to be the first "Twitter Jockey" to be broadcast and webcast on MTV, and you can nominate me, too! Individual candidates will then be selected by American Express, possibly in consultation with MTV, and announced on or around July 6th @MTVtj. American Express might take into account how many people follow me @EarthShod, how many people nominate or support me, my TweetLevel scores, the fact that I fit MTV's brand and platform demographics as an interesting 29 year old female with an attitude, and possibly other factors. Candidates will then compete in Twitter challenges, and Finalists will be voted upon by fans before the television show is taped between July 23rd and August 8th.
Why? As far as my social media Internet savvy, I've got you covered. I was the first to offer #FortuneTwitter fortune telling on Twitter, and am being Certified as a Social Innovator by the World Bank Institute. I'm sure that you've certainly already seen pop-culture paranormal investigators and psychics on television, as well as young, college-educated rising-celebrity chicks on MTV, but I manage to blow both stereotypes out of the water while remaining articulate and captivating! I'm happy to travel to interesting locations and am not afraid to or draw attention, notoriety or even mockery my way. I must admit that I'm an odd sight. A barefoot, schizophrenic girl who wears a lot of white. But, I invite every opportunity for people to learn about my industry and myself in whatever way they wish to confront their curiosity or confusion. My business tag line is, "Discovery, Confirmation, Empowerment" and I strive to continue to help others with those goals through whatever media I can. Also, I'll do a dance for you. Yes, I will.
How? Go to TJ.MTV.com, then click on the "Open Nomination" tab and nominate @EarthShod. No registration process is required, and you don't need to have a Twitter account. I can be nominated by as many people as have the inclination, as many times as they want. It may or may not increase my chances, but it would show me that you support me and raise awareness about my work! Nominations end June 27th. Please, spread the word!
