Ask A Witch: Zookeeper of Animal Totems in Antwerp, Belgium
Dear Alexandra,
The thing is, on every site there is a description about having your own animal totem, but I found I have had several throughout my life. I have received guidance from: A cat at one stage, for two years at high school, from three rabbits that would run in my new garden when we just moved back to Belgium, and at the moment three lambs whose bleating I heard repeatedly during a time of hardship for me. They were born when I was most stressed. I would just like to know, whether it's actually normal at all to have several animal guides because most people relate to having one animal guide that accompanies them always, but none have mentioned having more than one. Thank you for your time. I hope you fare well.

Dear ZOAT,
Yes, not only is it possible to have more than one animal guide at one time, but it is also normal in many cultures and even expected to have several animal guides that change over a lifetime. For example, when Cat is done teaching you, it may be time for Rabbit to take a predominant place in your life for an important lesson in belief systems in which they are thought of as guides rather than a single birth identity. These guides can work together, or there may be a change-over that can be spectacular! Pay attention to who is sharing a message with you. And also recognize who has been with you before, as you can always call on past knowledge during times of need.
Light!
Alexandra
