Dear Alexandra...
A friend of mine has admitted to selling her soul to the devil when she was 12 years old, so that she would look pretty and be popular. Now, at the age of 35, she is constantly seeing and hearing the number 4 everyday, on sales totals,on the radio,on license plates, people saying 4 in their conversations; it is driving her crazy. She is also a cold, miserable person. I do not know how to help her even though I have exhausted myself researching the number 4 and still nothing makes sense how 4 is related to her selling her soul to the devil, and I cannot find a way she can get her soul back.

Dear Dusk,
Since the concept of the "devil" is not a part of my Pagan philosophy, I'm afraid I cannot give you an explanation with reference to the devil. If you continue to believe that her problem has something to do with the devil then I suggest you consult a member of the Christian clergy. I will, however, help you from my own frame of reference. Since I do not believe in the devil, I am concerned that this woman is suffering mental anguish for another reason. I advise that she seek therapy since it is affecting her life so adversely. Perhaps I can help with the number four, as it may be an omen. Pythagoras developed a system of divination now called Numerology. Through the number four, divine powers (the Gods and Goddesses in my belief) may be trying to tell her that she needs to work things through in her life to gain stability. She is going through a life lesson to be more practical and seek balance.
