Ask A Witch: Fairy Garden in Springfield, IL
Dear Alexandra...
I'd like to start a herb/flower garden for my family and friends. I'd like to include medical herbs that I could use in teas, aroma bags and oils. I'd also like to add protection and fairy plants. I am a just starting on my path in Wicca and would like to include the above as part of my gift to the Goddess and God. I have a small back yard that is in the shade, goes into a small creek and the front yard is part shade part sun. I'd like to transform the back yard to a scared area for myself and the wildlife. Dear FG,
For the medicinal plants need to be careful since consuming any medicines can be dangerous! But I have some suggestions for fairy plants and protection herbs that may grow in your area. Some fairy plants are as follows: Put saffron in the full sun, chamomile, apple or anise in the sun or partial shade, and ginger in the partial shade. Some protection plants are: Bay leaf and parsley in the full sun, chives, coriander, garlic or St. John's wort for the sun to partial shade.
Light!
Alexandra
